You know my feeling on this. Gorton should be like, we'll take back that terrible contract. But I want that 10th pick. Just send Smith the other way. |

I don't think you are hearing me. I said IN FAIRNESS IT WAS MUCH EASIER TO SCORE GOALS BACK THEN. THOSE WERE THE DAYS WHEN 70 GOAL SEASONS WERE ALMOST BECOMING COMMON PLACE. LIKE THE STEROID ERA IN BASEBALL WHEN 50 HOMERUNS BECAUSE NO BIG DEAL!!!!! |

I was thinking that perhaps he'd get traded to Vegas to play with his brother |

Tom, if you bring up acquiring Milan Lucic who has another 30 years left on his deal at $6 million per one more time, I am going to wallpaper your room with coverage of the 2003 NHL draft and paint a Hugh Jessiman likeness onto your car. Just letting you know.

It’s wierd to because there was so much clutching and grabbing back then that you’d think it would be more difficult to score. But the goalie equipment was half the size it is now haha |

You acquire him in hopes of the NHL having another lockout and can use an amnesty on the contract. That would Lucic. Plus I don't think the Rangers going use all 30 million of the cap space they currently have. |

If I were you, I’d hope the Habs take Tkachuk. - smellmyfinger
I have a feeling that Tkachuk goes in the top 5.If Mtl doesn;t take him, I have a feeling Ott will. Or maybe someone trades up to get him. Lotta teams like the pedigree and, although he needs some time to develop, I think he'll still be a solid player when all is said and done. |

You know that the New York Rangers are going to play seasons after the current one, right? You want some dead cap space for a guy that can barely even skate in 2018, on the books in 2022. I don't think most of us are interested in sucking for the next 10 years, and just waiting for the draft to come around in June. |

I'd be happy with Bouchard, Boqvist, Dobson...
But I ain't gonna lie, I am rooting for a forward |

I like Tkachuks intangibles. I like to do my own comparing of past guys and I feel like he’d be our Adam graves. With the leadership, toughness, stuff etc. They have needed that kind of guy forever. But doesn’t sound like he can score like him however, which would be an issue for a top ten guy. That guy needs to be able to score. But he should check all the other boxes.
I’m predicting trading up to seven to get ollie - Slimtj100
I’d be happy trading up to get wahlstrom assuming it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Do you think 39 would get it done or would it need to be one of our later firsts or a roster player?
If we stay at 9 and let’s say Boqvist and tkachuk are there, who are you taking? I’d go tkachuk I think

I doubt teams looking for a goal scorer in Kovy are going to look at a perennial 15 goal scorer as an alternative. |

Agreed, I think if we take a dman at 9, then someone's gonna get traded. maybe O'Gara or Deangelo, or one of the prospects we just picked up at the deadline |
