Nico>>>>>Patrick - tomburton99
Call me a pessimist, but I think Patrick develops into a perennial 35-40 goal scorer, passing on Provorov was just plain dumb. |

When I’m in traffic I’m always wondering about the personal politics of the person in front of me. |

I had it pretty much as a coin flip, after we moved up and got a shot at either of them I was happy. I do think long term Patrick has the stronger career though. - smellmyfinger
Gotcha I can see how the Zacha pick sucks big time though.
My last major disappointment was Larkin getting selected. I fell in love with Pastarnak during the WJC that year. |

Larkin was very good last year. He looks like he's rounding into a good player. |

That’s rough, but at least Larkin is a productive player. Jury is still way out on what Zacha becomes. |

He is good I just had seen Pasta creating scoring chance after scoring chance in the WJC that season. Didn't get the results but I liked his abilities to score. |

I didnt slot Barrett Hayton to a team in top 10 in my mock but there's a lot of interest among teams with high picks. |

Seeing Canes and Lindholm are far apart in contract talks. What would it take to get him? |

Is this kid like Patrice-Bergeron-level-defense because otherwise I can't fathom why there is so much interest in him that high His offensive totals are pretty pedestrian for playing on a powerhouse team |

Every single write up I see on him says “concerns about foot speed” doesn’t really seem like a great recipe for the current NHL |

Yeah so he's a slow center that couldn't even produce a PPG in his draft year in the OHL. But I'm sure there's some sort of leadershipgritsandpaper quality that some dingus will use as evidence to take him in the top 10. Probably Chiarelli, although I probably just sealed his fate to get drafted by the Islanders with this post. |

Keep hearing rumblings of Montreal weighing the merits of moving down from No. 3... would Arizona at No. 5 be a fit? Or lower down? Or does it make most sense for the Habs to stay put at No. 3... |

everyone keeps talking about Montreal needing a center. Imagine they trade back from #3 and draft him, they might burn the city down. |

Yeah I saw some. I don't like him at all, not before pick 20 or so anyway. I mean I've literally seen people describe him as a third line center |

Oh god please let Kotkaniemi just be a smokescreen.
I would also love to see them trade back to like 5 and Ottawa takes Kotkaniemi |

Habs would have to be sure that Ottawa wouldn’t take Kotkaniemi to make that trade. Unless they see Tkachuk as a viable alternative.
