IF he had left the Isles, under the Garth regime, it would have been to a legit contender. Living/playing in TO would not be ideal for JT. You guys wound have hounded the sh!t out of him and put him under a microscope.

You can rule out the sign-and-trade scenario involving John Tavares. Isles boss Lou Lamoriello says there's zero chance he would do that. So either Tavares stays put or goes, but it will be a traditional transaction either way. Lamoriello hopeful of course that JT stays put

A couple games in one season doesn't really prove which team is better. Teams get lucky on certain nights or their coach just has the other's number or something. Maybe the opposing goalie is in a team's head...

Last season Toronto and Buffalo split their season series. Are you also going to suggest Buffalo is just as good as the Leafs right now? I mean, their future looks better considering they can look forward to Dahlin, but last year? Ridiculous. And that's whats wrong with your argument.
