Ek (yeah, I know) has an interesting roomer:
Islanders proposing their 11th and 12th overall for Karlsson.
That's pretty franking interesting as a starting point.
I'm guessing the Islanders would have to sweeten the pot, but wow, that would instantly make the Islanders much better (assuming Tavares re-signs).
And it really would help the Sens - they could then move their #4 to Colorado this year and do the full demolish and rebuild. |

Paul Stastny. That's the guy...should be $5-6M cheaper than Tavares too, as much as I'd love the Leafs to land Tavares, that $5-6M is a good D man without subtracting anyone. - Deeps27
But who is that d-man?
I like your theory in theory, but in reality there just isn't anyone good to spend your money on. |

i mentioned something like that the other day. If they can acquire a different 1st...which saves a little face for the 2018 draft..then hand over #4
imo #11 and 12 is not enough for EK. Id also want a very good prospect on top and maybe a bit more |

Sign Stastny, trade #25 pick in a package for Parayko, if St. Louis is interested in moving him |

Nylander for Parayko....I'm not too sure. - Garnie
Same here. I am glad its not up to me.
What if they sign Tavares..then Trade Kadri for Paraynko? (add whatever else you want to make it work)
Age and contracts kinda similar. I think STL would want a C |

Ottawa has the 22nd pick as well, they have a chance to rebuild quickly if they had a competent person in charge;
#11, #12, Ryan Pulock and Michael Dal Colle for Erik Karlsson.. Then give Colorado the #4 pick.
This gives them three picks in the 1st rd, a better than average D-man and a centre prospect in Dal Colle |

They would need to add a good prospect to that, and that would only make sense for the islanders if they had him resigned. |

Pretty much under no circumstances do you trade Kadri due to his insanely valuable contract. But as far as value goes, its not bad. |

I realize Willie's younger but I think Kadri>Willie....I'd rather keep Naz.
( I'd rather keep them all lol )
Leivo and a turd for Paryako
Kapanen/Lilgren + for Paryako - or however the (frank) it's spelled. |

More than 11th and 12th in a strong draft for a guy with one year left on his contract? Sounds about right to me. |

Id need to see a list of the NYI top 10 prospects (current rank) to see where Dal Colle is. But Id want one of thier better ones |

Good idea haha. In all fairness I thought it was an actual rumor, not speculation. He's pretty much the most legit insider. |

Honestly, their prospects arent awesome, it would have to be a good young player from their roster.+

I'm afraid you are confusing your Chiarelli mistakes.
The trading Hall mistake is not the same as the overpaying Draistl mistake.
Totally different Chiarelli mistakes.
But hey, I'm not trying to embarrass you here: there are so many Chiarelli mistakes, it's hard to keep them all straight in your mind. |
