Good job Isles on the coaching hire. But, with the loser Boychuk(34) & Ladd(32) contracts from Snow, they need to move them losers via trade keeping a bit of salary, or terminate. Those are two players that the Islanders MUST move on from period, in order to restructure the D and FW positions. The goalies Griess & Halak suck, they also need to be traded or let go for the Isles to step up this next season with a new goalie tandem, that's if Tavares stays...I hope he does. Pick up some solid free agents that are not some crazy lengthy contracts, and have some young kids come up into the bottom 6. Lou!

Halak is a free agent so no issues there, nobody I mean NOBODY is taking Ladd's contract, Boychuck when healthy is still effective, not a top pair anymore but still can eat up minutes, priority is signing JT and getting a tender, like Grubaur for a 2.

I honestly dont think Edmonton and Philly are talking trades. I dont see what Philly would want that Edmonton would be willing to part with.

Flyers are fine on Defense and just need youth to make the team and mature.

Flyers need a 2nd line winger but Edmonton is in need of wingers as well.

It is safe to say Edmonton is not going to trade McDavid or Draisitl

Flyers would have no interest in Hopkins given his Cap hit and the fact that Couturier and Partick are #1 and 2 down the middle

We are definitely NOT taking Lucic.

It isnt so much that Ottawa is a bad city. Prices for Sens game are ridiculous. They are a smaller city but are in the same price ranges of big cities like Pittsburgh, Minnesota ect. Sens are just poorly managed and poorly owned.

How about a move about 450km NE to a different Province.

As much as I strongly dislike Lucic, he’s struck from the classic Flyer mold. I hate to say it, but as long as his production didn’t severely drop, the old school Philly fan would embrace him sooner than later.

But honestly, they have Simmonds. Well, for now. Who wouldn’t want to trade away a guy like that who suits that roll and who puts in that effort? Especially one who’s cap hit is a touch under 4 mil, amirite, Ek?

The Flyers have a glut of defensive talent coming up. I don’t think they want to part with too much of it considering the injury delays of Sam Morin and Philippe Myers.

They need a sniper or two, but those are easier to come by than quality blue-liners. I see Hextall hoping his defensive youth movement of Provorov, Ghost, Hagg, Morin, Sanheim, and Myers being too important to send away for an offensive piece that can occasionally put the puck in the net, especially when you take into account that not everything you toss against the wall will stick. There’s bound to be a dud or two (or three).

The Flyers really like Morgan Frost, and with good reason if you look at his upside. Konecny and Patrick give them hope for a scoring boost. Possibly Lindblom as well.

Hextall will more likely stick with the plan, and hope to add solid veteran wingers when (lol. If!) his plotting comes to fruition. Just look at his past with Lombardi when the Kings were making their run.

No. Gudas is a lot easier to get rid of. I'll take Gudas for 2 years over Lucic for 5 at 6 mill all day.
