At 28 I'd be happy with Wilde. - tomburton99
Was Sjkei a slider? I wasn’t reading much back then but I do recall him being higher in mocks then where they got him |

I like the 2nd one
It definitely serves them well to take 2D/1F or 2F/1D, not 3 of the same. Also the second rd seems to be forgotten a bit, looks like there will be lots of quality still around - Slimtj100
Yeah, I am definitely not forgetting about 39. I think there will be some very good options there.
I am also not sure how I am feeling about Noel. Think there is a lot of upside there, but I am also getting this strange could be Hugh Jessiman feeling as well. Is he Simmonds or Lucic? Or is he Jessiman? I think either can happen.

Skjei was right around his expected draft slot.

I just like the wheeler comparison, I’ve seen it a couple times. But big guys can struggle. As long as he can skate well, that would make it easier for him to succeed |

What’s clear me is the only thing you care about in a player is pts. It’s the end all be all in any player with you. Playing defense, or 200 ft game, has no bearing on your player evaluation. You hated Step, you hate Fast and you hate Nam...but they all play a responsible defensive game. Every team in the history of the sport has needed this type of player to succeed, and for some reason you can’t bring yourself to appriciate that part of the game. You suck Millers d!ck because he makes a great pass every 3 games or so, yet the guy couldn’t make a defensive play to save his life. It’s mind boggling how you think |

I think you are right that there is a lack of appreciation for the defensive aspect of the game.

I think you are right to an extent. Teams need players like that, but you can't have too many of them. I think Stinky is expendable in the right trade, but I also have no problem holding on to him. |

I’m talking to him specifically because I’ve never seen someone have such a hard on for only one aspect of the game. You need role players, PKers, faceoff guys, etc...I could care less if Nam is here or not, or anyone on the NYR currently, I just can’t take the lack of importance to defense people have. It drives me nuts. Not every guy has to get 70 pts, it’s ok if they don’t as long as they do other things.
Edit: but not for nothing, they were putting out some of the worst players you can imagine last year with DD McLoed Carey, so it’s hard to justify trading guys like Nam, Spooner, if your gonna ice those kind of players every game |

He's an average nhl hockey player. That I can prove. And I can prove to you guys you value, like Bennett and Smith, aren't. But you don't care because those two have the grits and also sacrificed their faces as speed bags every so often. |

I have no issue keeping both Stinky and Spooner, depending on the year the Rangers have and how they individually play they could be commodities at the deadline if need be.
And you hated Nash who was our most complete player. I'm just joking, I know it was more the salary. |

Yea. My hated for Nash runs deeper then playing a two way game lol in my defense tho, I did give him 4 yrs before all the murderous dreams I had I’m also a big fan of the little guy sorta speak, like a Fast or a Nam. Always have been |

Nash wasn't 26, and carried 7.8 million dollar cap hit. Plus he was a choker. - tomburton99
As we know, It wasn’t just him tho. Some of those playoff games were a joke by everyone not named Lundqvist. GM 7 vs TB is probably the most frustrated I’ve ever been as fan. I threw out my damn Messier jersey after that game.....fffffff(frank) meeeeeeee |

Kreids missed like 10 breakaways in that LA series. Girardi got his feet tangled up for the 1st loss.. it just wasn't meant to be. I don't hold anyone responsible |

Very true. But when you go goalless in 22 out 25 playoff games, you've more than earned that flack coming your way. |
