My buddy who moved to FL loves it. He has a boat and said the fishing and species is so much better than up here. - mdw7413
Funny thing, I have had such better fights against much smaller fish. The tackle they used was too damn big. I think the reel and poll weighed more than the Shark.
I still don't get why they or some here under a retool/rebuild, have soured on Skjei due to him having a poor season last year, but under the worst of coaching/poor team play & numerous injuries/player sell offs that this team endured. With Shatty playing basically on just one leg in lasting about half a season, Smith being a disaster, and then their trades of Holden (55 games played), & McDonagh's only 49 games played due to injury, the pressure all season long was on Skjei to be their "GO TO" back liner, and lead them both ways.
After the 2018 NHL postseason, management was reluctant to include Skjei as one piece of a deal to acquire Trouba, with the Jets in need of a top young, LH shooting d'man for their left side, who was also near his age. So the Rangers then pursued to beat out the Devils in signing Shatty. But until July 1st, the serious talks continued, with Winnipeg, (prior to signing Mason as a F.A. goalie), then wanting Raanta as just one piece in any trade for Trouba, who the Rangers would not include, due to their own talks and ultimate trading of him and Stepan's remaining contract to Arizona on June 23rd. The Jets then broke off talks completely with the Rangers on Trouba, and then have to win that July 1st battle over the Devils to sign Shatty.
As far as a forward goes in exchange for Skjei, depending on how serious Columbus is about trading Panarin, due to him not just yet wanting to commit long term with them, that would be a starting point to talk on some possible combination deal involving Skjei. Otherwise, why give up on him here? - RangerSaver

So, all that to say something as ludicrous as Skjei for Panarin???? There has got to be a better use for your time. - Tonybere
First, I have said in the past dating back since when A.V. was forced to use Skjei in that playoff series loss to the Penguins a few years ago, that Skjei should be untouchable. I did not want him dealt last season in part to acquire Trouba, given his poor luck with annual injuries as a starting point.
I replied to Pete's question, that trading Skjei would start FORWARD wise speaking, for a top forward who's known to be available now like a Panarin, in some possible COMBO (i.e., COMBINATION) trade, meaning multi players or assets as the remaining pieces to balance out the deal for both teams.

Somebody is ruining Barry Trotz teleconference by leaving their phone on hold. Can't hear what new #Isles coach is saying and Trotz can't hear questions.
Unbelievable.

Unbelievable.
Were the Isles still using two paper cups with a string attached to them for that conversation?
If so, Tavares can't possibly be afforded by them as well as Trotz.
