OMG, how are Isles fans enjoying Christmas in June??? They haven't had so much good news in a such a short time in like.....FOREVER! First Lou, then Barzal winning the award, now Trotz! God, if JT stays, their heads will explode!!! But knowing many frustrated fans, this is finally good news for them. Signs of finally going in the right direction. Congrats Isles fans. Long-awaited (too long) and things will only get better.

Clearly Dorion wasn't offered that from Florida because Florida didn't want to trade with Ottawa.

Dorion could have got a 'roster player' as good as Bodeker in free agency or through trade who would have been cheaper.

Tallon didn't offer that to Dorion because he didn't want to trade with Dorion, period.

Those two put the screws to Dorion and he deserved it.

Lou is showing he still has the fire in the belly. I have no doubt Lou will make moves that will not work out, but finally the Islanders have a GM who will not make excuses and just fix things when they go wrong.

Doesn't take a (frank)ing genius to get that deal done.

It would be important for Barry as well as the Isles that he bring his entire coaching staff with him so they can continue to keep up the facade that Trotz is the reason the Caps won the Cup. That is FAR from the truth.

Washington doesn't have a coach either.... just saying.

And maybe it doesn't take a genius but it certainly takes some salesmanship to get a guy to walk away from a Stanley Cup winning team to join the Long Island poop Show.
