Tell me why. Someone convince me why this isn’t a reasonable ask? Who are Lindholm, Hanifin and Svechnikov (likely) exactly that we shouldn’t expect this as a return for a 6’6” right shot D who’s under 25, gets better every year and let the league (tied) in goals from the D last year?
I acknowledge it’s a high ask but Convince me.

The second the flames trade hamilton, they'll be looking for a player just like hamilton. DO NOT TRADE HAMILTON.

IDC if its for lindholm and hanifin I still wouldn't do it. The only possible way the flames should even consider trading him is if they get a bonafide #1 RW back. Lindholm does not solve their most glaring need at all. He'd just be another guy in a crammed middle 6.

While I agree that those 2 and 2OA is laughable, lindholm and hanifin for hamilton is not that great either. Lindholm is a middle 6 forward nothing special at all.

It wouldn't be a horrible trade for either team but if I were the flames I wouldn't do it because it doesn't address their #1 issue which is a first line RW. If you're trading a player the caliber of Hamilton you better damn be getting back an elite player. Lindholm and Hanifin are not elite... yet anyway.

Waddell said he's had some offers, but nothing even close.

Said that they feel that Svechnikov will be an major impact player for them soon, so he won't settle for a "equal value" trade. Has to be one they clearly win. Says he'll have his ears open in case somebody wants to blow him away with an offer, but otherwise... nope.

Your reading comprehension needs some work.

I wasn't suggesting Lindholm and TVR for Hamilton.

There's bound to be another piece there. Probably like Jake Bean or Julien Gauthier or something.

But either way I don't think it's a good fit.

Trying to discuss a Hamilton trade on here is a waste of time. There isn't a player in the league more overrated by their own fans than Hamilton. Yes, he's a great defenceman, but he's not Bobby Orr, and he has major things he needs to improve before he's a perennial Norris finalist so many people here want to label him as.

He's not even the best defenceman on the team.

Why is Svechnikov worth Dougie alone? What’s his NHL point totals exactly? Right, he doesn’t have any. He’s a hope and a dream.
And I know exactly what Lindholm and Hanifin are. A middle 6 fwd who had 40ish points and a young unproven D with lots of potential. That’s it. Do you not know who Dougie Hamilton is?
