I'd like them to move into the top 10. If they can do that, these are my targets by priority.

Would love if Hayton fell to them at 14 but wouldn't move up much for him. I don't mind Farabee at 14 but not someone I'd be excited about. I want them to go after someone the scouts fully agree on as an impact player. They can afford to do it.

This is the reason I kind of want them to take guys like Miller and Berggren at 14 and 19. They can give them time to develop and I think both have high potential.

Edit:
That Montreal trade is terrible, which makes it extremely likely.

Bizarre. Who wins a cup and says "Hey, you know what... I'd rather coach the Islanders." - hereticpride
Caps are probably 2-3 seasons away from a full rebuild. They've traded a lot of draft picks away in recent years, and their cupboard is pretty bare. Carlson may not re-up, and OV might bolt for Russia after 2021.
Barzal and $ are two good reasons to pick the Isles.
(It got a lot likelier that they hang on to JT now too)

After what he just did this past year, and given his contract, Ghost should be up near the top of the untouchable list after Provorov, Frost, and Couturier.
