Knowing the Flyers for all these years and most here can contest, if the Flyers make a trade it's going to be a "Woah did not see that coming" trade. Otherwise it will be nice and quiet draft with some minor pick movement here and there.

Very good point, the Pronger trade and Schenn last season.

Hexy did do the Schenn trade. That was one of those "did not see that coming" deals.

Levin is a skilled stickhandler with good hands but who is considered solely a late-round candidate due to question marks over his skating/pacing, hockey sense, defensive play and competitiveness.

You could say that about all of Hextall's deals to date, dating back to dumping Vinny and Nick Grossmann.

some what agreed....but after they made it, it made sense because the Flyers were going to be bringing in Patrick....Honestly Id be more excited if they traded the first rounders and a prospect and brought in Karlsson...lol

I really dislike some of the current team just based on that they haven't been successful. I guess we were spoiled in the past with teams that you could get excited about heading into the playoffs.

I'm telling you, this is the prime time to land Shea Weber. His value will never be lower (for the next 3 years).

I'd be a bit leary....whats the deal with contract?? isn't there a big problem with the early retirement issue and the continued cap hit....'

Yes and no imo. Schenn’s name popped up pretty often in rumors it seemed. Before his extension some saw him being moved. Having said that, the extension made it seem he would be here for the foreseeable future.

The missus asked what are we doing Friday night. I told her that I have no idea what she is doing, but I'll be watching Ron Hextall and Chris Pryor work their magic.

She just rolled her eyes, as usual.

it wouldnt be an issue for a team that traded for him now...Nashville is the one on the hook for almost all of it

there were certainly hints of a trade based on how they handled him in the year or so leading up to it
