Decent size right hand shot. Is he that bad? Reclamation project? - JRR1285
He had 0 points in 24 AHL games last season so I think NYI should sign him. |

Sources say Barry Trotz and the New York Islanders are closing in on an agreement for Trotz to be the Isles next head coach. - eichiefs9
I could see that coming from 10 miles away.
Has to be nice for you guys to finally have a real coach.
Edit: Would the Islanders have cap space for John Carlson if JT resigned? |

We were lucky that the Islanders were run by incompetent people for the better part of the last two decades.

The Rangers have had some success no doubt but some of the trades they made for those higher profile players available at each deadline have really slowed progress. Not that they would have picked the right players anyway.

Going from Garth Snow and Doug Weight to Lou Lamoriello and Barry Trotz is the biggest upgrade in the history of upgrades. Literally like going from a toothless crack addict hobo to Mila Kunis. Unreal. |

The Rangers were going for it. I have no problem with really much of anything they tried to do to get over the top. But, now you compile assets and rebuild the team like they have been doing. I have been happy with their shift to a rebuild, even if it means some subpar hockey for a year or two.
Going to be hard to figure out how to judge Quinn. Certainly can't judge him on the win-loss record too early.

I want to hear how he talks to the media and how his players talk and respond to him and the media as well. I want to hear accountability when poop goes south. |

I primarily judge coaching on player usage and tactics. Definitely not results. |

Its going to be awesome when they still finish 2 points ahead of us out of the playoffs and we get the better pick. |

Well yeah, I kind of forgot to convey that.
I just want a coach and players that don't say the same poop when they suck. Talk about what you are going to change and demonstrate it on the ice. Don't talk about being better and change nothing. AV loved to talk about bull poop and chew his gum and do absolutely nothing except head scratching decisions. |
