they're goaltending has been terrible the last 2 years...especially last year.

and 2 years ago, snow sandbagged the team by sending halak to minors. they wouldn't have finished 1-point behind us if they had him.

they fix that, and they improve a lot.

Sounds reasonable - I don't see them as a contender any time soon - even with Barzal and JT and Eberle. The defense sucks large as does the goalie - no quick fix. I can see them trading away one of their picks to get rid of the Ladd contract.

Will cost him, that Ladd contract is one of the worst around. He's averaged 30 points over the last two seasons is 32 and has 5 years left at $5.5 million. Makes the Shaw deal look good. Boychuk deal is no sweety-pie either. If you ask me, they are years away from being years away. Sabres might have a better chance of a wild card once they land Dahlin.
