Cool. Only one of them has played a full season in the NHL.
- Marwood

Shhhhh, you'll ruin the narrative.

Even though none have proven it, they're still better options then granlund short term deal

That's just sad.... how about bring back granlund on a one year contract and if one of the players you listed is better, then you send him to Utica?

Everybody loses !

- Pres.cup

Fixed.

The thing is you know what Granlund does and it is not pretty why not give the next guy a chance? Seriously how far could we fall

I agree and Sven and Granlund don't make it any better . We need better players
- VANTEL

So.... um.... now sven is an AHL level player? You know that he produced at a 2lw pace for both of the past two years, and his gpg and ppg were that of low end 1lw?

I don't see how he's not better then Boucher... in any regards.

So who plays for the Canucks next year in this world? I'm honestly on board with trading anyone, but it seems like JB has got to figure out a way of continuing to insulate the inexperienced while doing it. We can overpay UFA's to come here, but I don't think were a destination at this point.
- neem55

I don’t want to sign UFA’s either. There are so many marginal players in this organization who can hold down roster spots that trading the players with some semblance of value just makes too much sense. I believe Goldobin is Baertschi or two years ago. Inconsistent, streaky scorer- let’s give him the same opportunity that Bear had and recoup a pick. Granlund isn’t going to crack the top 6, get a pick.

I disagree I think you've forgotten 2 years ago when Granlund was playing some decent hockey. Last year seems to have tainted him for a bunch of people but he's a good player, offensively and defensively.

You do have cap space but no one here wants to spend . We want to bring back 8 goal Granlund stick him in over his head to play with rookies and hopefully magic happens

So... by sending granlund down, of one of the others can seize the chance, we aren't providing an opportunity for one of the others?

I don't think your thinking this option through.

We don't need the extra 1m in cap space.
We let who ever is playing best, play.
We have a backup plan in case granlund does turn out to be better then those other bums.

I don't see how that is a loose loose proposition?

I haven't forgot about his 19 goals with the Sedins. What is missing from that picture?

Play him with Gaudette and either Virtanen or Eriksson. Good 2 way line.

I want to sign Taveras 2years 14m

Trade tanev and Eriksson together for a seventh round pick

Sign Carlson 2 years 12m

Trade them both at the deadline 50 percent retained for 2 firsts each

And yes, bring back granlund at 1.75 and sven at 2.5.

So bottom 6 again Worked out well last year didn't it?

I love that we say the rebuild has now started and everyone wants to bring back all the old gang

Boucher has been waived more times than Sven, so he wins.

You think he's a top 6 winger, this year? Without earning it?

Nope, if we draft him and he earns a spot, send the worst lw down. (Gaunce, not granlund).

Somebody needs to play. If you get rid of him that's just another hole to fill on a team that no one expects to be competitive. He's young and still has potential, seems like a no brainer to me.

The Canucks HB plan

Keep Cap Space money in pocket
Trade all assets for the first person that offers
Bring back all the old gang seeing it has worked so well over the last 4 years
Don't budge on draft pick no matter if better for team
Absolutely don't trade anyone even if it improves the team aside from Tanev
