If Montreal doesn’t take the C they are rumoured to like at 3 where does he go? Could they get him at 7? Would you trade Tanev + 7 for 3? Could you get 3 for less? Baertschi +7? Hutton?

Interesting read on Benning.

One paragraph that sticks out is "We don't have the assets on the Canucks to acquire second and third round picks" This is my whole rally cry yesterday and today. If no one else wants them then why the hell are you re-signing them.

I don't think that anyone is disagreeing that picking up a couple third lines isn't a bad idea. I think the disagreement comes from who they should be replacing. If we sign one or two third liners, we should be talking the worst players out of our lineup. That would be the Tyler Mottes of the world, not the Granlunds

Also yesterday you were advocating dropping granlund and drafting tchunk to take his place. That has nothing to do with signing a third liner.

No Tyler Motte should be down in Utica . He is waiver exempt. Granlund should no longer be a Canuck. We have 13 other players just like him
