Dreger: "I had heard that Anaheim had interest in Ristolainen. I'd be a little surprised if the Edmonton Oilers didn't have interest in Ristolainen"
- JVince11

Just listened to the Dreger interview
If Anaheim:

Ristolainen
for
-Manson : 27yrs old, RH defenseman, under contract for 4 more years at 4.1mil, solid in his own end & pairs with Lindholm, so he could probably be a really good partner for Dahlin

+ (one of)

- 1st round pick
- Sam Steel (good center prospect)
- Silfverberg : 28, UFA after this year

"ROR is such a terrible player... only 60 pt seasons, can't get along with teammates, is terrible on defense, is a drunk driving bafoon, terrible leader, and gave up on his teammates." - People here

What do you think we could get for him on the trade market?

"Oh he is worth 3OA, Schwartz, or Panarin" - Exact same people here.

- JVince11

I was last

Then, after that jdfitz post, I became second last

I am now third last.

I'm moving up in the world.

But seriously this guy needs to stop.

Would you go from the #1 for Minsk Dynamo w/ no taxes on your salary to a travel by bus AHLer again on a peanuts deal?
- JVince11

Sure, no taxes, but you might not actually get paid.

Being at No. 32 while not having a third-rounder means that Buffalo does not have a pick in a prime area to take one of the better goalies in the draft.
- Michael Pachla

Well, would you rather have a third-rounder or basically two first-rounders?

Let’s trade 32OA for 3OA, Bergevin needs centers not draft picks

Next year's second. If he doesn't want ROR for 3OA and that, it makes our lives a lot easier this year.

Mike,

good write up as always, goalies are such a tough position to fill. Having an heir apparent is almost impossible. There are so many that fail, despite all the promise in the world. Then there are some who seem like they are done, but turn it around and become good, and occassionally, top flight. I like Laakonen alot, he might be the answer, but even with his performance so far, there's no way to know. As a Leaf fan, I look at Garrett Sparks, who is a great example. A shutout in his first NHL game, then thrown to the wolves during the intentional rebuild year, the other happened organically (the Leafs just sucked). I figured that he was done, especially since the Marlies gave Bibeau all the starts. Bibeau is now gone to the Sharks as a free agent and Sparks turned it all around at the AHL level and won goalie of the year. As much as I want to be excited, it's clear that no one really knows what that means. Some say he is a career minor leaguer, while others are highly intrigued and have mentionned that the Leafs could gain a 2nd round pick for him. My personal view is that, if you have a goalie who you've invested so much time and development into, and he has at long last risen to the top position in his league, don't you keep him? Especially with a 36 year old backup on your pro roster? These are legit questions with no answers. When looking at your article, it seems to be nearly impossible to predict, wheich makes sense that GM's don't wanna invest high picks. At the same time, there is no more important position on a team, and teams regularly pay super high prices if they feel they are getting a sure thing between the pipes. Even then, they are regularly wrong.

He's another center prospect...not a high priority for us.

Also...my price tag for Risto is quite steep.

Former amerk and teammate of Dahlin and Olofsson said on WGR that "Olofsson has the best shot I've ever seen"

Plenty of stuff there on Dahlin, but I'm greedy

Doesn’t look like the have any high end winger prospects
I assume Steel could be moved to wing, like many other center prospects

Well he’s (about to be) 28, so obviously not a prospect
I did list him as one of the possible pieces we’d get in addition to Manson

I'm still worried because that's the only thing people mention about him. Mark Mancari had a great shot too.

Still...
a “sniper” type is exactly what we are looking for to play with Eichel

Pretty sure he’ll play in Rochester this year,
and we’ll be able to get an idea of where he might actually fit in with us

Tru dat. I was just confining my choices to those you listed.

If it came down to it...I would probably say no to the deal. I don't think we should do anything with Risto til we get a chance to see him with a NHL-quality defenseman (aka Dahlin)

There's chatter ROR for Pacioretty and the 3rd pick overall. Habs fans better hope it's just chatter. This would be an extremely lopsided trade.

This can't be a thing right?

I'm pulling for him hard, but like Mancari, he's a 7th rounder, so I won't be upset if he flames out in NA. That said, Randy Sexton said he expects him to have success in NA, so I'm hopeful

Who is Brian Wilde?

#3 overall PLUS Patch?
That would be insane

Didn’t someone earlier say they saw
#3oa plus Gallagher?
