And yet it did change. And once Panarin left it dipped, yet Panarin’s rose.

I’m not saying the difference was huge, but I am saying Kane didn’t carry Panarin.

- Wildschwein

I agree with that. He in no way was carried in Chicago and he justified this by being the driver for his own line in CBJ. As for a player comparison, he definitely reminds me of Hall in terms of style of play.

However, what are your reasons (same goes for you Yman) as to why you would swap the players? You've stated that you think Panarin is better and such, but haven't clarified (Like in what ways, etc). On top of that, is your opinion also accounting for the age difference and development (outlook), along with position?

They’ve got Russell for a few more years. They’ve already been Kronwalled.

Downhill bike huh? Nice one.
You can Break yourself off so easy in that sport.

U hit the park in whistler in summer yet? Super fun. But gnarly as fuk

- HB77

Every summer for the last 4 years. It’s unreal. So much better than any other bike park. Expensive as (frank) though... and usually need to take a week off work to recover after.

Good. We’re gonna need that money for Nurse (hopefully Chiarelli doesn’t give him all of it).
- Wildschwein

Chia might go the same route with Nurse as he did with Klefbom and take a risk.

7-8 years, 4-5m cap hit.

I'd dig that.

I’ll admit I’m basing my stance predominantly on how I view his style of play. Simply put he’s a fast, intelligent winger who never half asses it. He’s produced at a PPG level while playing predominantly with 2nd line C’s (Dubois might become a 1C, but I’m not ready to call him such yet). And lastly, after seeing how Nuge excelled with McDavid, I think a similar (yet vastly more skilled) Panarin would allow the Oilers to exploit fully McDavids generational skillset.

But again, it’s entirely just opinion. I have no statistical evidence to back it up.

Fair enough. Can't banish you into oblivion for your opinion, but just know that without any stats to back it up, you will get hassled for it. I can see an argument being made with regards to the present situation (even then, it is a fairly loose ended argument I must say).

However, I stand by what I said with regards to the future outlook in that I think LD has a higher ceiling, is younger, and can play Wing & C when need be (why I kinda mentioned at the beginning on what it would take if LD wasn't involved, cause if that's the case, it would have to be LD for Panarin + and that + ain't gonna be cheap, preferably a young blue chip prospect).

Hence, why I would not do LD for Panarin straight up as mentioned earlier today. It's also because I think that an LD-Panarin duo would massacre any team that comes across that (Hence I think that an LD-Panarin duo would be better than a McD-Panarin duo).

Regardless, guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I’d get hassled regardless. Maxbone gets hassled all the time and he’s the statistical guru on this board.

But it’s all in fun. And I have no issue agreeing to disagree with anyone over anything. Excepting the divine nature of Larsson of course. I’ll argue for that till my dying breath.
