If the Isles can land a goalie I think Tavares stays.
- Reveen.

I can see them getting one. Lou got Schneider and Andersen in his last two gigs. Grubauer is my guess via Trotz recommendation.

Exactly... but I can see Washington cock blocking that one or asking a huge premium

Chia made a comment about expecting Lucic to arrive in camp motivated.

After saying he won't comment on whether he asked for a trade. GMs say that sort of thing all the time to make it look like they're not desperate. That doesn't change whether Lucic is on the way out or not.

Mantha, Larkin, and 6OAQ for Lucic, Russell, and 10OA.

If I’m Lucic. I stay. McDavid and Drai and Nuge just have too much potential to waste. Unless Chia pulls another poop trade, I do everything in my power to be the best I can for a team that has such untapped potential, especially after the playoff run.

Confirmed 3 hours ago, you are just slow as (frank)
- Lahey

If that was the case, to be fair, I didn't look into his situation till now.

Regardless, nothing but positive news for the NYI so far this offseason.

it was (frank)ing Garf.... and he gets paid to blog here

Yeah but are food stamps and 2 for 1 coupons and groupons really the same as getting paid?

I'd think so too. Either way, with how things have been shaping up as of late, I think he will stay regardless of any further acquisitions. Lou ain't messing around and just that alone has got to be a big factor in JT's decision to stay or not.

Crazy to think what a few billboards can do...

So do the Isles have to give up a bunch of draft picks like the Oil did when they signed Mclellan?

If they were eligible for KFC then Clouts would still be working here.

That's the real reason why he quit. They weren't eligible at KFC. Poor guy almost starved to death.

I really wish someone asked PC why they were buying Gryba out, there is still time to not buy him out. Someone just needs to make sure he understands the CBA first.

I don't think anyone really understands the CBA. Not even the players, the owners, or Iggysbarf.

If a GM buys out more than two players they personally signed then they should submit their resignation with the third buyout.

Someone did. Basically it sounds as if Gryba wanted to try and sign with another team and Chiarelli was doing him a favor by letting him look at other options. Not a great reason but a reason nonetheless.

A better response from Chia could’ve been “(frank) you, you’re under contract. Tell me where you want to go and I’ll try to make a trade.”

Right!? What a stupid (frank)ing rule that was. Guy gets fired, but another team owes a draft pick for hiring him. Oh well. It's not like the Oilers know how to use those picks outside the first round.

We would've been better off retaining on the guy. That and why does Gryba get a favour? His contract was already a favour
