Leafs don't need Dumba, statistically Toronto has 2 defenceman that are offensively superior. Both Gardiner and Rielly put up more points.

Leafs need a defensive guy to pair with each.
Not another offensive guy.

Is Dumba worth Nylander straight up... I think some will say yes, some will say no. So they are in the same ballpark... I would say they are similar valued.... but Dumba isn't the guy I'd trade for.

I've never heard Rielly as a player on the block, or even available... so that is just moot.

For Rielly point, I was just trying to show similar players to dumba and nylander. because if you think it would cost more then kyle connor to get reilly then it would cost more then nylander to get dumba.

Also, no one besides leaf fans think nylander and dumba are equal. Defense >>> Winger. Unless you are peter Chiarelli?

All this Dumba Nylander talk..... Even if Nylander is a wing and not a c, it still fits a need for the Wild. Charlie Coyle was the only right shot forward on the team after Stewart and Kunin were gone. Nylander is a young player who's already showing he can score in the league, and the Wild need to make moves to make this team younger and faster instead of the same old Chuck Fletcher deals bringing in aging vets and giving them term and NMC's.
As for Dumba. Super skilled young d with still a high ceiling. His defensive game right now may not be a fit for the Leafs if they were hypothetically dealing with the Wild. Jared SPurgeon would be a much better fit. He's really underrated around the league, and anyone who watched him play would love him in their top 4. He's responsible defensively, and he also knows when to chip in on the offensive side. Never takes bad penalties, and very rarely has a bad game.
