Also Lindblom should be better in year 2.

I suppose I could be fine with Sandin at #19, but I still feel like there are higher ceiling F there at that spot. Sandin does seem a bit underrated and defensemen are valuable (and needed), but I think I am hoping for a high ceiling forward there.

I believe what you're actually referring to is "what is dead may never die"

I get what your purpose is, but Konecny did the right things as soon as he started scoring on the top line. A true case of a player elevating his play once he was paired with better linemates

No no no, they will all remain the same or do worse, and it's guaranteed that Giroux, Couturier, and Voracek will be much worse.

Please get with the program.

Realistically, I expect the team, as whole, to produce about the same offensively and I expect the defense, as a whole, to be better. Goaltending is the biggest question mark. If Elliott can stay healthy and play like he did the first 4 months of last year, we'll be fine. If not, well...we'll see.

- jmatchett383

so what do you expect production/point wise from them next year?

How close do each come to what they put up this year?

I’d take Miller over Sandin if both still on the board but I like Sandin better than Samuelsson or Wilde

EK saying MIN looking for quality RW (Simmonds?), would anyone move Simmonds if it involved getting one of Dumba, Zucker or Nino?

Dumba but it'll cost more than just Simmonds.

If it was straight up I'd even drive Simmonds to the airport LOL!

Honestly, I don't like anyone on Minnesota. They're always in the mix, but they just seem like a very vanilla team and so do most of their players.

That said, give me Greenway or Dumba straight-up and yes.

Edit: No interest in Nino.

Nino is a solid all-around player. Dumba could be a nice add / replacement for Gudas. Right hand shot and all. Can’t say I know a lot about Zucker as I don’t watch the Wild too often but I do know he just had a career year.

If we're selling Simmonds I can't see Chia sitting on his hands. I'd rather grab the 10th overall from EDM than anything Minnesota will realistically offer.

I can also see Bergevin getting on it. I too would prefer #10 over a trade with MIN, but Dumba is enticing. Man had 50 points last year. I do think Simmonds can help you land either though if moved. Oooh im excited for this weekend

I really don't see Simmonds getting moved.

But if Hextall does trade Simmonds, I think we can all agree that he's forfeited the season.

Edit: Unless he signs JvR, then he's a fantastic GM.

I'm still kind of amazed they ended up with the 14th pick from that trade. In October and November the idea of the Blues missing the playoffs was laughable.

I don’t think anyone on this board would have said/thought the Flyers own pick would be after the Blues. They really didn’t look like they were going anywhere at that point of the season. Imagine if the Blues made the playoffs and Schenn won a game or two in OT. Boy would this place freak lol

Flyers aren't lacking points from the back end. They got 30 goals and 76 assists between Gostisehere and Provorov alone and Sanheim is going to put up his share of points, too, as he gains more ice time. The Flyers needs better two-way play and pairings balance out of their three pairings. Adding more point-producing is secondary.

Dumba does offer a RH shot and he's producing points but he's not exactly what you'd call a consistent, heady two-way D-man.

So Brandon Carlo and 2019 1st round for Simmonds and 2018 2nd #50. Good idea Bill!
