It all depends on the cost. When he's healthy, he's a decent defender, but it depends what they demand in return.
- Thecakeisalie

Brown, Nielsen(they apparently like him) and a pick...that's what I would give him.

I really prefer to keep Kap.

Not cause he's a canuck, because of durability and the nonsensical demands.

I don't think there is a single person on here who that simply said no to him.

Yeah, the main problem was the idiot Canuckleheads suggesting Marner + in return.

Agreed. All depends on the cost. Tanev would be a good pickup. If it costs a 2nd rd pick and Brown, I'd be ok with it.

The Canucks can send a pick back and we can make it our first..id do that

I do like Brown and his contract, but this seems ok for us. Not sure what a 'Nucks fan would think.

Source : Tanev is in play for sure. The Maple Leafs still have interest. Offers for Tanev not great but could improve this weekend. #Canucks

I know a lot of you don't like him because he is a Canuck. But IF, and that's an if...the leafs can get him for a reasonable price. You play him softer during the regular season and ramp it up for playoffs. He'd be a fantastic guy for the playoffs.

Karlsson or bust.

I hate him because he’s a Canuck....would love him if he were a Leaf.

Yes, and that obviously brings down the price. Like I said, deal has to be fair.

But there are ways around it. The Leafs are in a position where playoffs are very likely...run Hainsey into the ground and give Tanev a lighter work load...if he's healthy for playoffs that's all I care about.

- Santo_44

Can't afford of run hainsey into the ground again. Or any of the other dmen for that matter, but obviously different guys have different tolerance.

As long as he's there for the 16 game playoff sweep for the Leafs that's all that matters

I like Brown too, but Kap has a lot of potential. His speed is what makes me want to keep him.

Yeah. Brown's a good player and it's cool how he made it to the NHL slowly proving his way through each league. He's also signed to a good deal and can move up and down the lineup.

All that said, we have lots of decent wingers and he might actually have worth in a trade. If he helps bring in a good defender, I'll wish him good luck and a safe trip to his new team.

Newest guy> less new guy > least new guy

Shiny new toy.

I don't think one if the hardest workers on the team is lazy

I agree on the last part, It's really all up to opinion though. I'm sure GMs value all three of those guys very differently. Same as the Leafs

What would you of wanted for JVR at the TDL?

Because 3 months of JVR is not as value as 2 of Tanev.

I compare them for their salarys, both being a lot to a team. Just keep that in mind. They won't give him up for free

Gotta get those pts.. Brown failed to do that in the second half. I know he plays a lots of roles, but still.

In Vancouver's defence, the nonsensical demands came from Hockeybuzzers, not the front office.
