I think Bergy likes familiarity, hence the likes of Philip Danault and Andrew Shaw on the roster.
He just acquired Max Domi. Tie Domi played with Keith Tkachuk in Winnipeg, so there's a Domi-Tkachuk connection. Bergy played with Keith in St. Loo, so there's the Bergevin-Tkachuk connection.

I also think once he realizes Tavares ain't coming to Montreal, he'll take a swing at ex-Hawk Panarin (if available), despite the glut of LWers and I think he's a flight risk. That's my 1.46¢ USD. Tariff free.

There are no good solutions. Buffalo will ask for the 3rd overall for O'Reilly, and quite frankly why shouldn't they?

They know the Habs are desperate for a #1 center (even if I think O'Reilly is a number one-ish, more of a 2nd). They will have other suitors for a trade.

It will all end up with a trade for Derick Brassard.

As long as he underachieves, it will all work out.

Heard Kotkaniemi on the radio this morning. Says he thinks he can make the jump in the NHL in a year, intends on playing one last season in Finland and then come over to North America.

This is a weird draft, I have absolutely no idea how it's going to turn out.

Seems that #1 and #2 are decided, so dominoes will fall after the Habs make their pick.
