Ok, that was funny.

ROR is a #1 C
Statsny falls under 2C and might not put up better numbers than Plek in a couple of years from now.

- WaterBoy

Statsny pleks comparison is solid imo. I can see that decline

So...apparently (according to Marinaro) Habs had lunch with three guys. Tkachuk, Kotkaniemi and a 3rd unidentified player.

Looks like they are picking a forward, most likely Kotkaniemi or Tkachuk

The number of times MB has said nobody trades you a #1C. Getting a #1C from free agency is also never heard of. You only get a #1C from the draft. If they skip out on this opportunity it would just further prove MB is the biggest bag of hot air north of Trump.

Yes, but I don't think he is their kind of player. Goal scorer, but the kind that on an off night doesn't have much else to his game to help a team win.

They can always develop him as a winger, you know...to ease things out.

Kotkaniemi is a Plekanec style #1C.

If they really think he's a good first line center than by all means. What I don't understand is how one tournament pushed him from not even spoken of to a legit first line center in scouts' eyes. Hence why I think they should pick Zadina. That said I'd rather Kotkaniemi than Tka(frank) no.
