Ristolainen for #10 from EDM
Pick 10 plus ROR for pick 3 and Jeff Petry
Sabres add
Petry
Zadina
For
Risto
ROR - sbroads24
When Boston traded Hamilton to Calgary he had three seasons under his belt with 42 gp 5g 11a, 64 gp 7g 18a, 72 gp 10g 32a.
Boston got a 1st and two 2nds (15, 45, 52 OA)
Risto with arguably better numbers to start his career and the ability to play big minutes isn't worth more than just the #10 pick?
I would argue that just as many people here undervalue our players as they do overvalue them.

Holy S, can you imagine the panic attack our GM would have? The deals would have to be made from ECMC's ICU.
Just checked the Gallup Polls. Yup, 3ER still number one. |

Why do we care how many goals William Nylander scores next year?
- gordong
Snipeshow will thrive with Dahlin on the team.
My sources says both of them are going to bunk up at Nelson’s house after management asked!
Nelson learned to speak Swedish on the drive home from the meeting.

How did Ror become 3OA worthy?
Risto stays
Nylander pots 29 this season - washedup20
I’d be overjoyed if he got 29 in Rochester this year.... seeing as he has a grand total of 18 in two years.

but these trade offers for what we can expect from RoR is more out of whack then leaf trade proposals over the last 6 or 7 years
very unrealistic
risto is worth way more then ror - homiedclown
Not being a Richard but how is a dman how has brutal 5v5 scoring, is not loved by the analytics community better than a 60 point centreman who leads the league in faceoff %?
Id say ROR is worth more than Risto, interested to hear your thoughts on the opposite. |

You mean like when they drafted Zboril, DeBrusk, and Senyshyn at 13, 14, and 15 in 2015 and every analyst couldn't put together sentences because of how bad it was?? Then they followed it up in the 2nd round with Carlo, Forsbacka-Karlsson, and Lauzon?
They get one really good guy every so often like most teams. McAvoy, Pastrnak, and a Dougie weigh out the bad ones. I don't think Vaakanainen, Studnicka, Frederic, or Lindgren from the last 2 years first 2 rounds will be anything special either. - JVince11
They drafted Superstars and people forgot about the crappy drafts |

I like Risto
I would love to keep him.
However if you have to give to get.
Petry did out score Risto last year.
But I would keep the younger guy here. - Stripes77

We don't have to trade Ristolainen. He can stay and be a top 4 D man for the remaining 4 years of his deal.
If a GM values him as a 1 or 2, JB should make the move.
Risto isn't a #1 and won't be our #1.
And I'd bet $$ Guhle is the better player by midseason.
It's the same scenario as ROR. Guys are waiting to take their minutes. Cash in now |

a worse d man , larsson, landed hall
ror wore out his welcome in 2 cities in his young career
risto has a better cap hit
more upside
and ror is more likely to go the mike richards way, where he breaks down once he hits 30
ror is not fast, went 25 games w/o a goal
and all in all, young d men have more upside in trades
look at what hamilton and harmonic yielded in trades
