He only stinks while he's a Sabre, once traded, he's great and the Sabres will be fools for letting him go. - sskkoo1
He doesnt stink.
hes the Sabres best trade chip on a team that needs massive upgrades and just had one of the worst seasons in NHL history.
I just , like many, find the guy to be full of S%)+ |

2nd round picks are ok but not all that exciting. - GilPerreault11
Everyone's trying to trigger Gerbe today. Hopefully he is in his safe place there in Cali. |

Svechnikov... 30 even-strength goals in 44 games (2.71 per 60 minutes) last season, found the net in his draft year at a better clip than Sidney Crosby (2.60), Patrick Kane (2.55) and McDavid (2.34)
I’m torn - 22sabresQ
Yea ! That’s why analysts say he’s closer to the Dahlin tier then the Zadina tier. Not a shot at Dahlin, more like a shot at the rest of the draft class. |

As much poop as Harrington deserves, this is a good point.
On who should be captain (if both were to stay): The was last season ended, it was Jack. I continue to say he should be the captain. Ryan was too down on himself to lead anyone else.
This is one of the reasons why he will never be a captain of a franchise. |

yes.
Until yesterday, it was a great publication, but I wouldn't ever pay for something that wasn't Buffalo centric. Now, they have a nice base of writers and hopefully they add one or two more. |

I don't really think it's a shot at either. He's an elite prospect, no doubt. And it's just that. One would have to wonder if Dahlin or Kane would be picked first. My guess is Dahlin. |

From one of the rumor guys on twitter...
"When it comes to ROR and #Habs. I have heard two scenarios. Gallagher and third overall. Also, Pacioretty and Mete. Nothing concrete."
Highly doubt you get 3rd overall and Gallagher, but what would you include to get that done? A bunch of things, right?
Either 2019 1st
or
Nylander
or
a couple 2nd rounders
or
McCabe + 3rd rounder
Really tons of combinations depending on what they would want back. Again, highly doubt that would even happen though. |

Trying! haha
We are really at a power position, take it like this....
For Rick nash they got..
Ryan Spooner and Matt Beleskey, 2018 first-round pick, Ryan Lindgren, 2019 7th round pick
That is for an aging winger (33 years old ) on an expiring contract.
So I would be asking for that 1st rounder (above),
Spooner ~= Kreider.
Spooner 59games 41 points
Kreider is 58 games, 37 points
So I am asking for a + of 9th overall which is not totally crazy (over what Rick Nash's value was on expiring contract).
Doubt it happens, but thats what I would want from them.

Dreger: "I had heard that Anaheim had interest in Ristolainen. I'd be a little surprised if the Edmonton Oilers didn't have interest in Ristolainen" - JVince11
Just listened to the Dreger interview
If Anaheim:
Ristolainen
for
-Manson : 27yrs old, RH defenseman, under contract for 4 more years at 4.1mil, solid in his own end & pairs with Lindholm, so he could probably be a really good partner for Dahlin
+ (one of)
- 1st round pick
- Sam Steel (good center prospect)
- Silfverberg : 28, UFA after this year |
