I don't know, I think they just made the most required trade in the history of hockey and are trying to keep Karlsson. I don't think it's a fire sale, since they won't even have their #1 next year. - Lunaion
I think Karlsson is a goner
I came up with Niskanen from the Caps though
Gives them the space to re-sign Carlson & not lose Burakovsky or Wilson
I’m guessing they’d want a cheap, young defenseman back...
McCabe, + ?
And i might be in Gerbe’s rainbow land here...
but i do think there’s teams out there that would like Bogo if we kept salary
Half price for him is only 2.55mil i believe |

Can’t say I’ve paid much attn to him
U think he’d be a good fit for big minutes with Dahlin?
If so... would FLA move him? |

Maybe, seems like every deal starts with us trying to move McCabe + 32. Doesn't feel like enough.

Well McCabe for Niskanen saves them over 4mil in Cap space too,
So you’ve gotta consider that as part of the trade too
And you’ll probably give me sh!t for this...
but i think there will be some teams interested in Bogo if we keep half his salary
2.55mil isn’t much if a team believes he could be a reclamation project
I could see someone saying,
“If he could stay healthy...” |

I know you want to fleece them, but they just won a cup and there will be plenty of interest for anyone they choose to move.
Bogo's coming off major surgery, it's a tough sell. Could happen, but most likely brings in someone else's problem contract.

I’m not saying specifically the Caps
I just think someone would be willing to take a shot at Bogo for half price
Tough to say what we’d get back
Probably not nearly as much as I’m hoping for
But i do think we could get rid of him |

Well, it was sort of a racist policy. They wanted more black officers, so when they did poorly on the civil service exams they extended the time period for promotions to give them another crack, to the detriment of those higher on the list, which in this case were white guys. It just wasn't initiated by the mayor, hell, maybe it was a political move to hang on to office by Masiello "see look! I'm not racist! Look at all the black lieutenants!" But neither guy, white nor black, put a stop to it when they should've. The article also doesn't mention when the policy was presumably stopped.
Edit: The lists were allowed to expire, not extended, but the end result was the same. To give them more time to do better on the exam. - Wetbandit1

Most are ugly as sin.
However, some can be absolutely gorgeous...and if brought up properly, they put their man first.
Can make for a decent wife...probably will require some implants to really knock it out of the park.
So ya, I would consider for sure.
What did you have in mind? |

Here's where I'm at. Keep ROR for now, unless you're getting a very gifted player back, because he can probably score a ton of Jack's wing, and if Mitts falters at 2C, they can shift ROR back there.
It solves our left wing problem with a guy who's already here. Like I said, if someone offers you a really good good wing with term on the deal, or a bonafide 1 RHD, that's different, but I see no reason to think ROR wouldn't put up at least 65p with Eichel.
Yeah, I know, they hate each other yada yada yada - jcragcrumple

Maybe play him at each wing, LW & RW for even minutes and shifts...
Tell him it averages out to being a Center...now go out and play and shut up.
Oh, and give him the "C-" letter to make him feel better about himself. |

I wouldn't be surprised if not playing wing is written in his contract. |

Not a chance with Panarin only having 1 year left on his contract. It isn't like they can franchise him next summer.
