Cap will be tricky but it's something Botterill will have to be able to manage.

I was getting at it took them a while to win, but yes, they are someone who you have to go through like the rest of these teams. The hyperbole and a half is amazing sometimes with Jr.

Wait, we are trading ROR, Risto and god know's what else and now we are winning a cup ?
- SABRES 89

it's crazy

I am not a ror fan, but even I do not see a reason to trade him

let's make a few minor moves and see where we are at the end of november

adding dahlin, and casey already

addition by subtraction in net

this roster is not close to the bruins, bolts and leafs

if we are moving ror and risto, we will be closer to the sens then those top 3 teams IMO

Step 1: Move RoR
Step 2: Win draft lottery, select Jack Hughes
Step 3: Play Jack, Jack, Rasmus, Rasmus, & Rasmus a lot
Step 4: ??
Step 5: Profit

I don't want to move Risto, but I'm more than willing to trade ROR. Mr. "I lost my passion for the game" can pack his bags and GTFO. He's still a valuable player, so the return shouldn't be bad. If JB can get a good package for him, he should absolutely move him at this point.

second line left winger and second pair RD

that should be realistic expectation for the return

not pick 3 in the draft though

If you have jack , Casey , Panarin, Dahlin you should be in the conversation for the cup

I think anyone who only wants to see minor moves should be forced to watch a random game from last November, including the post-game interviews.

As of 2016, a 1st line LW scored 56.8 points. Why should we trade RORs 61 points for a lesser winger and a lesser RD?

Just play him with Eichel and he'll probably get 65-70 and he can take all of Eichel's draws which may or may not matter

I agree 100% Goose. I want Riato and Reinhart to stay. The wild card, that none of us know, is why is the locker room toxic. Is it one player, or a group of players? Only GMTM, Housley and the players know and this is what may be dictating the trade.

If we don’t land a #1 goalie... we’re picking top 5 again next year

dahlin/risto would easily be the best d pair we have ever had as sabres fans

keep that in your back pocket when making these trades

- homiedclown

It's been in my back pocket since we won the lottery. And Guhle is not ready to take Risto's place as has been stated on here. This is the crazy time. Somewhat entertaining.

do you feel getting casey and dahlin make us better

move a few lesser assets for max and call it an off season

if they need/want to move ror fine

no reason to move risto

Casey is going to be a good player but to think he's ready to be number 2 center is just absurd.

The Rangers will be all over Panarin if they move him, they have the parts and pieces. We can't match that.

If Guhle was perceived of higher value than McCabe, I'd trade him in a heartbeat if we were able to bring back a top tier 1LW like Panarin.
