Sharks got cap space for Tavares a 2nd,4th, 5th, and 6th round draft pick.

Sens got Boedker who was healthy scratch on the Sharks at times last year

I'm sure Edmonton sent an offer of Kris Russell or andrej sekera or Milan Lucic... all of which have no movement or trade clauses which any of the 3 would nix. I mean even the Oilers garbage refuses to accept a trade to Ottawa.

You don’t think PD is doing the best he can given the tire fire of a team and the owner? He is in a no win situation. He signed his contract knowing he was in a no win situation. Melnyk signed him with the knowledge they were going to have a lot of pain. Dorian is not a good GM but he’s in a position where he’s already working with a deck of cards stacked against him.

My guess is that Dorion wanted a premium for trading him within the division. Florida didn't want to do that so San Jose swooped in, asked Tallon what he was offering, and said "we can do that". And now Dorion looks like an idiot. Dealing like this is obviously within the rules but it shows what kind of respect Dorion has around the league.

The Avs are loving this. Sens are trying to be the worst they can be.
