If you read what I wrote you'll see I already said that. I was merely opining on the way Kane COULD cost the team with his antics.

I guess Ottawa retained salary.. does that factor in. If LA buys him out, do the Sens retain that percentage of the buyout?

My personal thinking here is even if all this mean Karlsson stays put or gets traded elsewhere GOOD! The Avalanche should hold firm on what they want for the first round draft pick Ottawa owes them. If the worst case is we pick in what will probably be the top at least 10 this year or next year I’m fine with that! We have good prospects and I don’t hate tyson barrie as much as most avs fans seem like they do. Do this thing right build slow and we can be great for 10 years like Chicago was.
