Doubtful. When he goes can he take JB with him? - wreckage
Yes. But he’s already deleted six hundred accounts. One more wont matter. |

Boedker has not been injury-prone recently, missing only 11 games in the last three years... for perspective's sake, Mike Hoffman has missed 12 games over the same span.
And while not as dynamic a scorer as Hoffman, Boedker does have two 50+ point seasons in the last 5 years and has averaged 0.52ppg over that span. - ATrainTwentyFour
Boedker has two 50 point season in his career, that was 2 and 4 years ago. in contract years. Which is a huge red flag.
He's a 3rd line winger.
nothing more, nothing less. |

He has never scored 20 in his career. His best season was 19 / 50+ pts. He never broke 50 again. Heck, he never broke 40 for that matter. He's had some injury trouble, but if he had been taken out of the top 10 he'd be getting half of his current salary. 3rd liner that's just ok in his own end. - leafsfann
He scored 51 points in 82 games with the Coyotes in 13-14 and 51 points in 80 games with the Coyotes and Avs in 15-16... |

I see him as a comparable as Darren Helm. Oft injured, okay skill, good speed, overpaid. |

He makes less than Tyler bozak makes. And scores comparatively. And is likely regarded as a more complete player by the community that signs those contracts. - wreckage
I'll agree with that, but let's never speak of Bozak again. This is my passive observation as a Yotes fan. I live in the Phoenix metro so.. go Yotes.
Boedker is in a nutshell why fans here loved Shane Doan so much. Even in the twilight of his unremarkable career, he was better than the "future stars" - guys like Boedker, Hanzal, etc. |

Edited original comment, didn't carry his Av points into the total from Arizona. It's 6am in Phoenix. |

You think Melinda wants to be anywhere close to SJ now? - Iggysbff
L.A. and Anaheim are not close to San Jose. Also if I was Melinda I would want blood. Hoffman or his girls. Either would do. |

Anywhere in the pacific is within a two hour flight at most other than Edmonton.
That would be too close for most women. |

Grew up in Winnipeg so always had a spot for Doan. Met him once about 10 years ago in Calgary while wearing a Jets Jersey. His boys had a good chuckle at his expense then. He was the last guy left to have worn the original Jersey at that time. He was a warrior but the game passed his skill level when he was about 24. Great heart and soul guy. But that can't be paid for anymore. The Ryan Smythe's and Shane Doan's no longer have a place in the game. |

I guess. If I was Karlsson I would love the opportunity to hit the guy as much as legally possible. |

You'd spend more time in airport security than in the air. There's that. I can't see either Anaheim or LA making the cap situation work for EKs next contact, though. The king's have Phaneuf though. |

YYC is about 3 hours from most of the Cali airports. At least the last times I've traveled to any of them directly. |

And Drew is a FA next year and has stated a desire to test the market. |

You have to love this deal if you're SJ. SJ's window is closing with some of their key players hitting that age, so this definitely gives them more firepower.
If they can bolster their bottom six a bit they're right back to being a legit contender. |

Maybe I'm biased, I'd rather keep Doughty. No knock on EK, just different styles. |

I'd take Drew over majority personally. But some people would sacrifice the elite d for the uptick in scoring. |

They have 7 players signed after next season.
The entire core group is 30+
Vlassic and burns are soon to be some of the worst contracts in the NHL.
This upcoming season is San Jose's last shot. |

Burns and Pavelski are both 33. They aren't showing signs really yet, but that can change quick once you hit the 34/35 mark. |

Not really. Could work out but very risky. They’re betting big on the on ice performance being more important than off ice issues. Could go either way at this point. |

Buffalo has SJS 2019 or 2020 1st round pick which could be gold if this all falls apart. |
