Karlsson did not answer. Apparently they hired lawyers to help the Karllsons find the person. If she turns out to be innocent guess who the bad guy is. There is no doubt that the situation between them is beyond repair but the only thing the players carebabout is being involved. They dont want to be involved nd they dont want to pick sides but in this situation they are forced to pick sides. Their relationship could have been destroyed by a rumour for all we know

So the general consensus is that both San Jose and Florida did very well today. That should surprise no one considering Ottawa was involved... wonder what the Vegas odds are on Ottawa ever coming out of the positive side of a deal? +1000? +2000?...

Even as a Senators fan, I'd love to see a team in Quebec City, but the main problems that people always cite with regards to Ottawa being an unsuccessful market, population size and lack of corporate support or just as bad or worse in Quebec City.

Ottawa has a population of 950,000 (that gets bumped up to 1.3 million total if you factor in Gatineau, Quebec just across the river from Ottawa) while Quebec City has a population of just below 800,000, which would more or less make it the lowest in the league (Winnipeg is about the same size).

Almost all of the corporate headquarters in the province of Quebec are in Montreal rather than Quebec City, so Quebec finds itself much like Ottawa, relying on Public Service (provincial public service in their case) as the main employer in the region.

The only thing the Quebec market would have that the Ottawa market does not is a new arena, which, technically, is supposed to be coming to Ottawa.

If the argument is that Ottawa is unsalvageable due to how much of a tire fire Melnyk has made of the Senators and you need to re-locate anywhere to wipe the slate clean, that's fine, but let's not pretend that the Quebec market is superior to the Ottawa market.

If you want to go to a team that will be competitive for a number of years, you go to Winnipeg. If you want to go to a team that finds innovative new ways to poop the bed year after year after year after year and whose fan base is 98.3% douchebags, the Flyers are for you. Now that Winnipeg has turned the corner, you will find more players will ignore the fact that Winnipeg isn't California, Florida or New York and go where they have a chance to win (see Stastny, Paul).

Not trying to put the blame of the sens on Hoffman, because it's Melnyk that has created this chaos. But Hoffman by all accounts from teammates is a bit of an ass and same with his GF. And when you gut the team of it's leadership over the past few years (Methot, Alfie, Phaneuf, MacArthur, Murray, Leader, etc, etc) then player feel empowered to do what they want, giving an idiot like Hoffman opportunity to be a disruptive force.
