Wow Ottawa practically gave Mike Hoffman away for next to nothing. The Flyers could've and should've given them more than what Ottawa got back. They needed a guy like Hoffman too. I hope Hexy has something up his sleeve.

Exactly...if Hextall and staff are hyper critical on "character" of 18 year old kids, than you have to imagine he'd deep six the idea of a grown man acting that way (as alleged by EK)

I never get gamecenter because the most important games always end up having blackout restrictions.

I expect their goal output to remain similar to last year (top 10 second half of the season) and I expect their defense to get a bit better.

It all depends what happens at 3C. I dont expect the blue line to take a step back. I expect another step forward for Provy, Sanheim, and Haag. I dont think it is far fetched to see Patrick improve his goal scoring. Im very concerned with the goal tending. Expecting Elliott to play 50 games and the rest of the guys to play the rest is very concerning.

Agreed. If Hexy had traded for Hoffman, I'd have hoped he would have then done exactly what SJ did.

Hextall has pushed his wang right up near the cap ceiling every year he's been GM. I don't expect him to suddenly let the Flyers become a flaccid, cap floor team.

Not sure it would be feasible but if you moved G back to Center, he could slot with Claude and Travis. and we'd have 3C covered with patrick.

Asking price has to be sick though

Not sure I would categorize Patrick as a "passer". Even though he can make plays, some pretty nice vision and anticipation, but the kid can shoot.

there is 0% chance of Giroux going back to center.

Reason #1 is he just came off a career year (and should have been a Hart finalist, if not the winner) playing wing.

Reason #2 He still has 4 years to go on a pretty big contract and the Flyers want him to stay as healthy as possible over those remaining years.
