I'd like to see that happen, but I'm not holding my breath. I think the next big move will be either a trade or a contract extension for Simmonds at, or near, the deadline. With that settled, Lehtera, Raffl, and both current goalies off the books, and AMac, Gudas and Weise all going into the last year of their deals, I think next offseason is when you will see Hextall get aggressive.

I could see that. But I actually think he starts this season and shaping the roster for what his vision is. i could see Gudas moved and the Flyers maybe go after de Haan or possibly an Ian Cole.

I could see possibly a winger like Roussel or maybe Chaisson, guys who bring some grit and can kill penalties.

I still could see a Simmonds moved. Maybe Weal gets moved for a mid round pick or guy who provides a little different skill set.

I think there are things he can do to position this team fro moving forward yet not really change anything huge, except if Simmonds was the piece moved of course.
