He would never coach as well as the 2011 Bruins?

That's easy. Ryan Clowe is not a superstar. Only superstars like Wayne Gretzky make good coaches

Using that metric, Wayne Gretzky is good enough to be commissioner.

Remember at the 2009 draft when Burke said he'd do whatever he could to get Tavares on the Leafs? Imagine if Dubas actually gets it done.?

Seeing how bad the Leafs’ defense has been for years. He just needs to be at least mediocre to average.

I never get tired of this.

Nylander centering his own line would be scary, guy is as soft as they come. He avoids pretty much all physical contact and will get eaten alive come playoff time as seen before. Better to leave him on the wing, imo

You have an assistant GM that likes all the physical contact, so I guess you'd be the expert.

If this is true and the Habs want to move down to pick Kotkaniemi (which they'd be (frank)ing idiots to do), maybe the Leafs can move 25th to move up to 15th-20th and then flip that pick plus more to get 3rd and draft Bouchard or Zadina.

Terrible idea. Cost a fortune to move up to 15 then cost even more to move to 3. End up over paying big time for a winger which is the last thing leafs need. Plus kotkaniemi is the top ranked C in the draft and will not be available past 10.

Dubas has said he drafts based on the best player available, not based on need. Bouchard could be both at 3rd. As would Zadina.

Kotkaniemi's ranking has varied. He could go after 10.

If the Habs are dumb enough to move down, it might be worth it to move up by brokering a 3-way deal if it means getting their hands on one of the top prospects. Nobody said it would be cheap but it could be worth it in the long run.
