The thing that scares me is that I feel like with all the cap space and a lengthy rebuild, they won't be ready to walk away from the table when they should.

Like when they're about to be shut down, just take it. But I get the feeling that they'll instead be like "Well okay, how about one year longer?"

Riley Nash was a 4th liner who could play 3rd line spot duty his whole career. Year before FA has 41 points and I've seen people be like "oh he finally hit his potential of being a #2 center for sure. 4x4 totally makes sense mhmm"

Beagle, Nash, etc. are this summer's Matt Beleskey or Dave Bolland or whatever.

I think Nash might get a stupid contract for sure in this market, Beagle's might be a little more reasonable, but both will be overpaid.


Should focus on finding the next hidden gems, instead of paying a premium for glorified role players.
