I wonder if this is a precursor to move another goalie? Please be Nilsson.

Probably wanted to get Bachman locked down so that Nilsson can be moved at the draft

Teams are dying to get below average backup goaltenders for an asset before FA even opens.

Canucks have 5 RFAs and 3 UFAs

I don't think any of the old UFAs will be back on Canucks and I am hoping we move at least 2-3 RFAs

I think we will sign all 5 RFAs, at most 1 will be moved. All 3 UFAs will be gone unless they really want Archie back

I have one in the shop. But I'm not one. I also have a transit, but I'm not a surveyor, have some heavy equipment, but I'm not just an operator, have a propane distributorship, but I'm not just a propane guy, raise livestock and garden, but I'm not just a farmer, hunting rifles but I'm not just a hunter, commercial fishing vessel, but I'm not just a fisherman, am a certified firefighter(structural and wildland), but I'm not just a firefighter, am a certified paramedic, but I'm not just a paramedic.

What am I?
Just a student of life, a father, a business man and an educated hillbilly waiting for the lights to go out, you can't define me, man.
But I can define you, Lefty. Glorified executive rig pig! but of the gulf state kind, not the jacked up Ford, Alberta kind. But it's ok, I still love you, you sand state milking oil baron, man.

I mean JV being back is a given. Baertschi will be signed for sure. Probably won't get anything for Granlund. Pouliot is more valuable here if we can develop him further, same goes for Stecher who is already a legit NHL Dman

Well the roster should get us a top 3 pick .

Granlund Pouliot and Stecher should be in the AHL

Pouliot is a tweener and Granlund/Stecher are legitimate NHL players.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you on that one. He reminds a lot of Jyrkki Lumme when he first came to Vancouver....

Lumme was a massive defensive liability when he came over from Montreal, good skater and passer, lots of similarities...

Do tell tho, what makes him ,in your opinion, a tweener?

I guess his bad defensive play?

Canucks are chalk full of tweeners

As my example, Lumme, not a big issue....can be taught and I trust that Pouliot is teachable. He's just 24 and when defensemen generally peak around 27/28, I think the best is yet to come.....

Even Duncan Keith was pretty rough around the edges until about 26 years old....

I know I sound impatient but I am not. I would like to see Canucks acquire 3 players in free agency this year 2 bottom 6 guys and a legit Dman top 4 .

The top 6 I am filling in the blanks with Bo Brock EP and counting on Dahlen (big hope) This is why I want to draft a forward . Then 5 of 6 spots covered for hopefully years.

I want to get rid of the tweeners too. I think Canucks can find an NHL player with the 37 th pick that can develop . I think Canucks can cover the next 4 years on D but every year switch one out with upgrade.

Yeah, if you believe he can improve defensively then he’s worth keeping.

Personally I think he’s a low IQ defender and doesn’t have the skating to make up for it.
