I think Nash might get a stupid contract for sure in this market, Beagle's might be a little more reasonable, but both will be overpaid.

Should focus on finding the next hidden gems, instead of paying a premium for glorified role players.

Beagle is gonna get the playoff hero contract from a team fighting to get over the hump.

For the England fans especially the rowdy ones. I still get a thrill every time I listen to this one. It's from the late 80's but never gets old. Lyric video...

“He understands the situation,” said Benning.
Yup, Eriksson knows he's going to be paid 24 mil over the next 4 years to coast.

if it was me, that would be a pretty poop feeling. i'd be feeling so guilty it would probably take me away from my game even more.

As of now, this would be my top 15:

1. Dahlin
2. Svechnikov
3. Zadina
4. Hughes
5. Kotkaniemi
6. Dobson
7. Tkachuk
8. Wahlstrom
9. Berrgren
10. Kravstov
11. Farabee
12. Boqvist
13. Bouchard
14. Kaut
15. Smith

Dobson and Kotkaniemi are dead even for me. I'd really be interested in a trade down with Philly or the Isles(long shot) with their picks.

Mainly because obviously I'm pretty big on the 3 forwards I have ranked from 9-11.

Then why not rank them higher?

I still prefer the others ranked ahead of them lol. But I would 100% prefer 2 of them over any of the guys ranked after Zadina. I just really think they're underrated and all 3 have a decent shot of being available with Philly's picks.

I know the "draft for need" crowd would hate that though.

I could live with staying at 7 and drafting 1 of hughes/kotkaniemi/dobson

Not a great return but what can they do under the circumstances.

I've been scouring over contracts all day, not busy at work, I'd like to get Cal Foote from Tampa for taking on the Ryan Callaghan contract.

This armchair GM'ing is hard work

Skimming through these pages last night well what can I say.

Benning should go up to Loui and tell him straight up , you have 20 games to be the player we expected. If not you are off to Utica to find your game.

Any player not playing to their potential for years should not be gifted a spot.

Having a player playing regular shifts that your current GM admits is a mistake is just wrong and sets a terrible example to other players

He won't do that, Eriksson will get PK time and a bottom six role with Sutter. They need some vets still.

I hope the Canucks do go after Roussel and Beagle for 3 years each . It beats Gaunce and Dowd

Things change, I read an article today about Stamkos and Tavares, if JT wants to sign there it's doable but they'd have to move some money. Window's open!!

Dowd's a UFA and I don't think they have any intention of re-signing him.

Well if the rumors are true TB are going to get a boatload back for Kucherov who they can't afford .

Foote is going nowhere

Why wouldn’t we just snap up Berrgren at 37?

Yeah I was reading out their salary space and path forward, they're not trading Kucherov. They just need to get rid of some deadweight like Callaghan who has two years left on his current deal. Kucherov has one year left.

Trading Tyler Johnson is also a real possibility.

If Kucherov wants too much money, then sure, they might trade him. But IMO I really doubt it.
