If only we had good goaltending.
- bgainesDM

We had the same goaltending when our 2nd line was on the ice....

He scored like 30 goals his first season with the Isles. Then Cappy and his coaching staff began to "help" him with his game....

Love when fans make up items to fill the reality of his production after that year.

This is the thing Cpt. On talent along you bring back Grabner. The problem is some bad contracts on the Isles and fitting Grabner.
- ses111

Some? Which one? Mayfield, Pelech, Cizikas, Clutterbuck, Greiss, or Ladd?

Too depressing for me to mention them. Thanks Cpt.

You do realize that nobody on here thinks you have anymore insight with this team than any other "fan" right?

Just a little creative license....

Part of his problem after that first season was missing games due to injury. But the guy was a healthy scratch much of the time, too. Cappy's decision to play AHL-quality players in place of Grabner was strange. Did he fail to convert on most of his breakaways? Yes. But at least he had the speed to breakaway, unlike most of the rest of the team....

Cappy also thought it was a great idea to pair Hamonic with Leddy.

Even when Grabner did not score, he was a threat and generated chances.

Guy could skate the puck out of the zone and strip opposing players of the puck. He also kept opposing players honest at our blue line with his speed.

Who cares? Most of the time you create faulty logic and fill things in with emotion instead of what you think is insight. And not a one of you seem to have any grip on anything with analytics.... bc I haven’t seen one thing that even mentions it despite the fact that most teams, and even players and their agents, use it.

Bingo. I'm not saying the guy was some fantastic player but he was useful and he should have been utilized for his strengths. He was not by our former band of idiots. He is better than arguably our entire bottom 6.

I can always check if Dee Karl has something to write about. It would fit here so fine and dandy

Ses, I think that sums it up. Just having a guy who is a threat is worth something. Opposing players know they have to be careful when he's on the ice.

Is this a threat?
I haven't read a thing you have written thus far just like Dee Karls blogs. You're taking yourself a bit to seriously right now.

It's a shame that the opinions of posters on a rumor site aren't as correct and well formed as yours. Please direct us to the correct path.

See you guys in a week.

Fans on this site are not scouts or GM’s so being into analytics should not matter. Analytics are not needed to tell Garth, Cappy, and Doug were lousy at their jobs. Now if Lou wants to use Analytics good for him.

You seem to think that last post was filled with emotion. It wasn't and neither is this one. Very few if anyone on here thinks of you more than an arrogant individual who believes they're smarter than everyone else when they are not which has been proven consistently over time. Recently you have scoffed at the fan base on countless topics waving your finger at them calling them idiots. You called me a moron another poster a "retard" (which is pretty disgusting)who has since been banned and now you're insulting us all again. For someone who has been Nothing but wrong for as long as I can remember and is pretty much unanimously disliked by Islander fans you seem to think real highly of yourself. You ooze with insecurity and constantly clamor for acceptance which is embarrassing to watch. The only reason you're here is because you were being vilified on here, tweeted about it and came back to try and "fix things". You bash other bloggers who are actually well respected by fans and the media alike I'm assuming because you're jealous. Cringe worthy.

These are the facts. It has nothing to do with analytics.

Here's some analytics for you, barzal was 4th in controlled entries into the offensive zone and 4th in controlled exits out of the d zone and why his line didn't get scored on nearly as much as the other lines. Here's some more, the number of people suspended since you took over 3. amount in the 6 previous months 1. Hmmm dee might not have had the best takes but she sure had thicker skin. You act like you're Gretzky and the mods are semenko and mcsorley, you deserved to be mocked with some of your pompous comments that you were so sure of up on your high horse and now when people throw them back in your face they mysteriously are banned and no one knows why yet the common denominator is you. Stop feeding us poop and calling it peanut butter pal

Edit the biggest news in year for the isles is gonna hit and we are all gonna be banned
