To be very clear, I don't believe any "fans with sources" but there's some guy on reddit claiming his roommate works for the Isles and told him about them playing at the Coliseum again 2 months prior to it being announced. He is saying Trotz is at the Garden City hotel meeting with the Isles and they expect a deal to be announced by Friday.

Again, just to be clear...this is probably horsepoop, but whatever...I'll mention it anyway.

Whoever is responsible for getting 7 banned for a week I just want to say

The only team that can give JT the 8th year after he stayed on our roster after trade deadline is the Isles. No other team can give him an 8 year deal. So the question really is how much will it cost him in that 8th year when he is 35 years old. I am cautiously optimistic the Isles get JT signed this week.

We have all noticed it (discussed among writers). Sad it’s not as clear to him. I hope he gets through it and moves on bc when he wants to be... a pretty terrific writer/storyteller
