Dunno. I always thought he was a decent coach and I feel many overrate him. It appears they failed to negotiate a new deal. I'm sure he thinks he is worth Q/Babcock type money.

I think if he felt that he was unjustifiably on the hot seat at some point, there could have been some resentment built up because of that. So, you win the Cup, drop the mic, and head to the Islanders.
