I still don’t like the fit. Would decimate us and have us cap strapped even worse.

Yeah, that would be tough to navigate through (we'd most likely have to get rid of a big money contract to make it easier for us with regards to flexibility onwards), but I think that there are a few upper management questions that may influx the outlook of that situation.

How high will the cap go this year? What is the outlook for the next 3-5 years via cap projections? Will the NHL/NHLPA terminate the CBA in 2019 in favor of different terms, especially with regards to eliminating/modifying artificial cap escalation and implicational usage of escrow? Will there be another high cap increase similar to this year following the next expansion draft (this may be affected by this year's financial outlook and possibly a new CBA)?

Also, can you highlight on why you don't see him and McDavid getting along? Does it have to do with whose "Team" it will be? Cause I'm certain it ain't along the lines of utilization and possession.

Todd Reirden is the big wild card here too. A lot of people out of WSH were talking about him being the coach next year not that long ago.

That's one of my worries as well. Imagine trading away klefbom/10ov and another solid asset for one year of Karlsson without a verbally agreed upon contract, only for him to leave after the next year.

That was Iggys explanation. I don’t really want Karlsson myself....especially since he wants 10-13 mil per and is on the back 9, and, tho somewhat underrated, not the best defensively. Drew Doughty is the best defender in the league and is a UFA in a year. I would save some cap space for him.
