1) when does the NHL announce the CAP for the following season(officially)?
2) when a player submits a no-trade list - e.g. for 10 teams... can they subsequently, say a year later change it?
3) when does the FreeAgent "talk to other teams period" begin?

its completely reasonable to think a Star player would be interested in playing for a team he used to like as a kid and is in a very good position to compete for a cup over the next few seasons...over his current team..which is very much up in the air as to what they are at the moment

1) Last year was June 18th.

2) Depends on the contract they sign, but I believe (going off of stuff I've read over the years) most guys re-submit every year.

3) Six days before July 1st.

Anyone watched much of Greg Pateryn? Seen a couple clips and done some scouting report reading and he seems like an intriguing Polak replacement that offers more upside and at 27 has a few good years in the tank.
