Fantastic run, but someone's going to pip him by one.

I'd love to see Lindy back coaching here in any capacity.

The plan was we didn't have enough high-end talent in 16-17, which Murray thought we would. It cost him and Bylsma their jobs. Botterill knew this roster sucked. He tried buoy the terrible D corps to "acceptable" with Scandella and Beaulieu. Injuries to Bogo and McCabe, combined with the underwhelming results from Antipin and Beaulieu, along with the realization that scandella is not a top pair defenseman, reduced the gains to rubble.

The bottom 6 speaks for itself

Reinhart's start sucked.

Pominville's age caught up with him

The goaltending sucked

This team was always gonna be bad. We got a HUGE shot of high-end talent this year with Dahlin, and somehow lucked into Mittelstadt last year.

To paraphrase Ronald Reagan: "Mr. Botterill get us some wingers!"

There's so many ways to criticize last years team, but Pomminville doesn't make my list. He played well above expectations and was one of our best forwards. Jack, Kane, and Pommer were the only 3 playing good hockey when the games mattered.

He could have set the record if he made that birdie on 18. Gonna be a great back 9. It comes down to DJ, Reed or Koepka for the W.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to criticize him, but he had a torrid start for 12 games and then age caught up

We'll see. I haven't watched a ton today, maybe 40 minutes so far, but I think they over compensated for yesterday. A mid pack guy shouldn't be able to go out and hang that number up after what transpired yesterday.

On the Phil thing. He was being a bit childish. I understand it a bit, he knew it was going to be a repeat of a handful of years ago when it took him 4 attempts to get his pitch on the green after it rolled back right to where he was standing. But his handling of it was kind of petty, if he just stuck with the "I'm out of it, and if it kept going we were going to be there for a while, so I hit it." it would've been fine. But then I've never liked him. He's a well documented wiener. And the most arrogant bumhole for the longest time before he actually won anything.

I thought it would've been Reed, but that missed shot on that par 3 might have cost him.

ROR to the rangers for one or more of their young RFAs/others could be a wild card

And fwiw, I think Payne and Hajt suck and Phil can't attract any good assistant coaches. He couldn't bring Capuano in last year and Gulutzan this year. Hopefully they will still make some changes. I would look at Arniel, Willie Desjardins and Gronborg or Roger Ronnberg from Sweden.

I think it was more that your 3RW was forced into playing higher. Sam and Kyle were the problem. Same applies to Girgensons. It's not his fault he turned into our top LW. Until we make some real moves, there's a risk the same thing happens again.

Not really directed at you, just the standard status quo venting. I need to get it out of my system every few days.

I have a difficult enough time watching each individual player to determine if they suck from game to game with how much opinions seem to vary, let alone trying to figure out if assistant coaches suck too.

Reed is a dumb (frank), hate the Pillsbury dough boy.

My faves are Lefty, Bubba, Stenson and Rosie.

Ya, I agree, other than too old and slowing down, he wasn't the reason they sucked.
Let him bow out gracefully this year.

I was just going to post what people thought of a ROR for 9OA and Kevin Hayes trade would be acceptable when I saw your post (possible adds where needed). I was thinking that may be a way to go to get a good pick and a Center who could help out Mittelstadt.

If we went the Free Agency route I was thinking Riley Nash or possibly even Bozak. What do you guys think?
