It's a bold strategy, Patty. Let's see if it pays off.

I guarantee it.
The Leafs either keep/trade/move up or down from their 1st rd pick.

so if the blues offered the 28th + 76th pick for the leafs 25th would be an interesting proposal?

but I'd do it for the 45th pick instead of the 76th pick.

value of 25th overall is 18, 28th is 15, and 76 is ~2. so value wouldn't be the best for the first deal. 45th is valued at 7.2, which would be 22.2 value in return for 18 value. if they can get that deal, that'd be great, but leafs would probably have to add their 3rd, which is 83rd and valued at 1.3~ so 19.3 for 22.2. I think st louis might do that deal, and i'd do it from a leafs perspective

Like an E5 rating but only slightly less chance of happening.

That's actually who i think the Leafs may target. Him or Woo (depending of no one really falls)
- walshyleafsfan

Scouting report on him is that he’s smart, creative, and speedy.

Pretty much exactly the type of player the Leafs went after in Dubas’s first draft with the team.
