VANs #7 pick is on the TSN trade board
I’d want that, (choose Wahlstrom, LW sniper)
plus a couple B+ prospects like
Gaudette (bottom6 2-way Center)
and Goldobin (middle6 LW)

Vancouver fans would say too much
Sabres fans would say to little

So it’s probably in the ballpark of what might happen

- jdfitz77

If they offer #7 alone, it's a done deal.

If we trade O’Reilly, then yes
Because we don’t want Jack or Casey ever having to play a defensive role

If your thoughts are that finding a 3C is easy...
just ask Pitt how that’s been going?
They seem to try to find a guy almost every year

Depth never hurts

- jdfitz77

Pens have to find guys with no cap space, it's not the same at all.

You think the Sabres should pay someone a first to take ROR?
- jcragcrumple

ROR and Perry would be comparable.

Remember Kessel? Obviously Kessel is a better and more skilled player, also more productive. Remember what Kessel got Toronto? Remember Toronto retained salary...90% of the fans said no way Toronto retains anything?

And you think ROR is worth more than Kessel at 7.5M? AND to a division rival?

ROR would be a nice 3C for the Flyers, but if Buffalo asked for this years 1st round #19, the phone gets hung up and number blocked.

Come on... RoR averages 60 pts per season, is a 2C on a lot of teams, strong defensively, and is the best face off guy in the league. He's bringing back a helluva lot more than pick #19.

Like I said with Kessel...sounds like a guy you keep on your team then.

I'm fine with keeping RoR, I sure as hell wouldn't trade him for nothing. He's the best available center behind JT.

That’s laughable if BUff only wanted 19 overall that deal would have been done yesterday.

Take 19 and add some more for buffs GM not to hang up

Yeah if at least 40% retained salary, now you have a conversation. Otherwise *makes fart sound*

He's a 1C on MTL, probably CBJ, Arizona, Detroit

So you think he's worth $4m? What year is this?

That he is, and that's why GMJB holds all the leverage in negotiations for him. If he gets moved, it will be for a lot, but there's no way we'll be giving him away like we did with Kane.

If you look at league contracts, players are worth roughly 1M for every 10 pts per season they average. 10 pt Larsson gets a 1M contract, 50pt Reinhart will get a 5M contract.

Ror averages 60pts, so he's worth at least 6M. Add in his defensive abilities .5M and his ability on the dot .5M, and he's worth 7M. RoR is slightly over-paid.

Bookmark me. If ROR gets traded let me know what the final haul is...Top 5 selection, plus multiple prospects and 0% retained salary. Let's see who is closer.

Every year we go through this where X player is worth half a farm and it ends up being a donkey and a high five.

As soon as O’Reilly gets any slower, he will be a 3rd liner in this league.

Make it happen now

He will get more than the 19th pick. He would also be the flyers 2nd line center next year. Not 3rd
