I actually didn't remember that many being on board right away. Some were pretty convinced it was wrong though, saying Glass was the BPA and they didn't take him - NorthNuck
Go back to Virtanen's draft year and there are only a few who didn't like it. |

I'm debating if I should do what I did last year and stop posting when the draft starts. Potentially saves embarrassment down the road |

I didn't realize until I read the NHL.com article on Tavares but if he leaves NY he will be the first 1OA to choose to leave the team that drafted him to sign elsewhere in the modern era of free agency, which started in 1995.
I doubt he leaves NYI but it would be interesting to see |

Meh, it's just funny that most people's opinions are so absolute when we actually know little about hockey in comparison to what we think we do. |

If he stays he's never going to win jack poop. That team has a terrible defence, lots of bad contracts, no talented depth and goaltending as bad as Carolina's |

Glass still looks like a heck of a player and a stronger bet at C.
EP looks dynamite but he still has his holes. The Lindenning era is quite literally pinned on EP's development. Gonna be interesting to watch. |

No point in bringing half-assed takes to a hockey message board... I prefer reading an educated argument (whether I agree with it or not) to hedged opinions. |

Same. He’s a potential steal considering how low he’s ranked |

Velano will be an excellent 2lc. He's not creative enough to be a first liner, but he's definitely responsible in all the zones and he's got speed to burn. I'd rather take him at 7 then Dobson. - Pres.cup
Veleno isn’t a smart player. He has the speed and skill, but some of the plays he makes are just dumb. I’d prefer Hayton over him. |

I enjoy when people write off a player just because.
Personally I don't dislike any prospects. There's just a difference of where I would pick them. |

why?
i don't care for Veleno either but Hayton is generic brand vanilla-like spread. |

Hayton won't be around when PHI pick that is why I said Veleno |

I’m not big on either of them, I just hate players who seem dumb.
Guys like Wilde and Veleno are 2 guys who fit that bill for me. Merkley as well. |

Bobslist is out. Interesting as always but no real surprises other than Tkachuk at 3 - CanuckDon
Tkachuk at 3 is only surprising to people who don’t watch his tape. He’s a special player type, for sure. |

He’s still a top prospect, but there’s no way in hell he’s above Zadina for me |

I think Bob needs to get to the rink more often

I'd be all for taking Merkley if the team had like an extra first rounder, pair of extra seconds or extra thirds. Some kind of volume in draft picks that make taking a flyer on a risky player not as big a deal. |

Veleno is faster, plays great in both ends and passes extremely well. For sure he’s got some refining to do, but he’s imo the best center in this draft. |

He just sends out an email to his scouting buddies and they all send him their lists. Then he just averages out the rankings and he’s done his work until free agency.
It’s a good list to see how the players are thought of by teams’ scouts.
If Berggren is there for the Canucks 2nd round pick...I’m gonna lose my damn mind if they pass on him. |
