Veleno is a good playmaker
- VANTEL

I have a very small draft board... Always do.

I think 7-12 is a cluster(frank) of overrated garbage. Last year at this time I was telling everyone about Pettersson and people thought it was a massive reach to consider him at 5 because everyone goes off consensus rather than skillset.
- DrChristianTroy

Wahlstrom, I've researched, has the highest offensive ceiling out of all the forwards in this draft.

I wouldnt rule out Farabee in the 1st or Wise in the 2nd round in terms of high end talent.

Lots of good American forwards this year.

Also a fan or Berggren...

This draft is just nowhere near what last years was. A mid round first is a top 10.

Walhstrom ppg increase by almost .5 when he started to play with Jack Hughes. A compliment player is Wahlstrom.

All aboard the Berggren hype train with the next stop being the 20th overall ranking in the CanucksArmy prospect rankings for the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Add the fact that his underlying numbers were through the roof and there is legitimate reason for his rise into the first round.

Like Dobson (waits for Angry Don )
- VANTEL

Foundational, that is Dobson, an elite talent who projects to be a top pairing defensemen. Watching him, nothing stands out as being better then anything else, that's more to do with him being elite at everything then with him not being elite at any one thing. He's also canadian and stands over 6feet tall. This year, on top of leading his team to a memorial cup victory, he recieved the Don medal of excellence for being a darn good canadian kid.

I don’t like Veleno at all. Don’t mind Miller, but certainly not my preference.
- DrChristianTroy

Velano will be an excellent 2lc. He's not creative enough to be a first liner, but he's definitely responsible in all the zones and he's got speed to burn. I'd rather take him at 7 then Dobson.

I see what you did there......he couldnt possibly be talented because he played with Hughes.

Never said he projected to be a "generational" talent, just has a very high ceiling, that by all accounts, is the highest of forwards in the draft. Lots of Boeser comparisons....you know, the guy who played with Eichel.....

I actually didn't remember that many being on board right away. Some were pretty convinced it was wrong though, saying Glass was the BPA and they didn't take him

Brock Boeser played with Jack Eichel? When? After he was drafted?

Boeser is still probably the 10th best player in his draft year.
