Easily. Apparently they loved having Larkin at UMich. Close proximity and I guess they like the heads running the program there.
Only real reason I could see them passing is because they want a RH D. - Lindenis#1
I may just watch the beginning of the draft this year. I haven't done that in over a decade. |

Picks 3 and 4 will basically shape the top 10 at this point. I think the whole top 12 this year will be pretty neat. A lot of teams getting a player they need. |

I could see Detroit going for Hughes. - golfingsince
If he is on the board and the Wings dont take him - that sends all kinds of alarm bells off. Unless of course Zadina falls to them - which would set off all kinds of alarm bells initself. So many bells. But like all Canuck fans, I promise you this - we will be here disecting whomever the Canucks pick half of us hating it and the other half loving it.

It’s amazing how he’s spewing something different in every other interview. He’s contradicted himself and his GM countless times.
It went from being shocking to funny to just sad now |

I think Dobson is going to become a top pairing D. - golfingsince
Suck up..... you're wrong though, I think his skillset gets him meaningful games in the ahl, though yes, he's probably an ahl all star if he spends a full season there. |

Linden.
Apparently ignoring the league after retirement, having a few real estate investments and wiping a few spin bikes off means you can run an NHL team. |

If he wasn't a Canuck he would have never been hired.
An NHL team isn't like the mob. You don't promote family to consolidate power. Franny's gotta learn the difference. |

The only reason Linden was hired was for PR, and to be FA's mouthpiece, so that he himself would be able to appear to be hands off the team. The fact of the matter is, Linden has no real responsibilities other than to take the heat for FA. I feel sorry for him actually, if he hadn't been "Captain Canuck", and fairly successful in business outside of the NHL he'd never have been brought back.
Again, until FA sells the team to someone who doesn't have his ego tied to the team's success and financial solvency dependant upon it, the Canucks are going to have to win in spite of ownership meddling and upper management bumbling. |

Look at Edmonton - Nucker101
Edmonton is infested. Katz bought his favourite hockey team to pay his childhood heroes to hang out with him.
its an amazing coincidence that the person who always is the most qualified for any position with the Oilers happened to play for them in the 80s.
or that the best pro scouts happen to be McLellan's dad and Chiarelli's brother. Or the best amateur scouts happen to guys who used to work for the junior team the NHL team owns. or that the best options for AGMs happen to be friends of management from their playing days or siblings of players.
fun fact, they still don't have the fire safety testing done on the arena there. they've got chunks done but the whole building hasn't been cleared. they just went and opened it and told the city to suck a Richard. and since the city already took a massive L on the arena deal, they didn't want to take another L that should have the arena closed until its been finished. |

he's still mad he gave Gillis full control and he didn't win. so clearly FA needed more input, because its gone so well since.
franny should stick to what he knows in real estate deals, mistresses and wine collection. |
