No way in hell I’d stay put & select Wahlstrom at 7 if there was an opportunity to fill 2 future slots with 14 & 19.

Hughes instinctive vision & body positioning more than make up for the inch his legs never grew.
- DrChristianTroy

That's why Ryan Ellis is the best defender on Nashville. Plays the most as well.

A team with 2 of the worst contracts in the league + mediocre at best prospect pool + a bad NHL roster.

I’m not exactly jealous

- Nucker101

Other than the two worst contracts, you just described the Canucks. Montreal will probably still be better this coming season.

Ten picks this year 5 in the top 60. That should change.

I don’t care about Montreal. The Canucks do not have a “mediocre” prospect pool. And we are about to add Dobson so we will have the best prospect pool after the draft.

“The last one I saw here in Bathurst that I was sure was gonna be a successful player was Patrice Bergeron,” Couturier says. “I’m as confident in Noah as I was with Patrice Bergeron.”

“Whoever drafts him is gonna get a guy who can pile up minutes and can play against top lines and run your power play,” Couturier says.

Just never really know. Trade Tanev to TML for 25 and a 2nd round pick in 19

The Canucks prospect pool isn't that great. Its only good relative to Canucks history. There's one difference maker, a bunch of middle roster guys if they hit, one defenceman with a future, one and a half goaltenders and then scratch tickets.

To say this pool is anything above average ignores that just about every NHL team has pretty similar situations, especially the bad ones.

No thanks.
You keep Tanev, let the Leafs keep the picks, and both organizations can go on their merry way.

Agreed. I hate the leafs. If Benning helps them it’s a fireable offense

Let's once and for all drop this Tanev to the Leafs thing.

It’s bizarre. There are lots of teams that need a top 4 RHD. I guess this fanbase is just obsessed with the Leafs. Sigh
