Both players average 0.60 points per game. Not sure why everyone thinks it is a steal. [/img] |

The Capitals. He’s just holding down the fort for Frenchies return after a five year hiatus. |

You may be over the moon Tanner but wait till you see him play. Does he grind? Back check? Stick up for his mates? Big no to all of those. But man can he party. He'll get his thirty goals, but be a minus thirty at the same time. What was Domi"s plus/minus last year? Get ready for a huge letdown hombre. Plus your paying 4.9 million for it. lol |

Outside of the Stepan trade, most Chayka trades do look pretty decent.
People act like he’s been the GM for 5 years. He took over a tire fire organization with limited spending ability and has been on the job for 2 whole years. Not sure what people were realistically expecting. Not his fault they drafted Strome over Marner. - Nucker101
I agree, but people calling Strome a bust are ridiculous. 6'4 Centre who is 21 and just scored a ppg in the AHL. He's going to be a good player and his brothers, family etc. have nothing to do with it.
And again, the Stepan trade netted them a starting goalie and a good centre or a pick they didn't really need (and they had a first anyways). |

I'd argue his family has a lot to do with it. Especially mom n pop |

His body of work will be (I doubt it) impressive when they actually see some tangible results on the ice. You keep calling for it but I don't see it happening?? I would bet Dim Jim Bennings' team will be better before the Coyotes are, which is sad because we have a home down there and I go see a bunch of games. |

I said before they played in the nhl...Duclair is a skilled player but is dumb and selfish. No hockey iq. Domi is a douche.
Looks like I was right again on all fronts...it’s ok you can admit I was right and you were wrong. - Iggysbff

I personally have liked Chayka's moves and can totally understand why Tanner is on board. It will be interesting to see where they pick, I suspect Chayka will be high on Wahstrom with good reason. I wish my team's GM had more of an analytics background |

Not sure how you could call this a steal. Galchenyuk is a below average player. Players like him are everywhere in the league. Speaks volume as to the quality of the Coyotes' roster. |

Jeff Gorton. We can start by correcting you. Rangers got 7th overall from you guys, not 5th. Considering Raanta was never going to be number 1 and NY was looking to gut defense, I’d say in a couple years that trade will show NY the clear winner. Same for acquiring young up and coming #1C Zibinejad for already traded again 3rd liner Brassard. Acquiring multiple picks including 2 1st rounders, prospects Hajek,Howden, Lindgren, Rykov, O’Gara, Spooner and Namestikov for Miller, McDonaugh and 3 guys over 30 that are now ufa’s. Arizona still a lottery team |

Tanner doesn't watch man. Just all depends on how those flawed stats look. |

The problem with this blog?
You could have switched the players traded(Max from MON) for (Alex from ARI) and James would have spit out the same blog with differing rhetoric. The only thing staying the same is "Chalka is a wonderkid"!
Also lets not forget that Chalka has had the handcuffs removed(a bit) regarding the Yote's internal cap. Any GM in the league could aquire good/great assets for nothing other than cap space! |

3rd and take Bolland contract for Lawson Crouse
Essentially a late 1st round pick for taking on some money.
So a third is a first?
Ok then. |

Before you get too excited about Chucky; apparently he was / is a fan of the Devils dandruff... so you might be shipping out one douche and getting another.
Chucky is a better player for sure- but I think if one player stands to be better in his new environment it's Domi.
If Chucky can't seem to look interested at the Bell Center, he might not be too fired up by the fans in a secondary market (and secondary is being generous).
MB has made a litany of bad trades, and this could very well another one, but not too sure Arizona picked up a real game changer either.
Time will tell... - Liger4
Yeah people are really skimming over this. I get why the media does it, they can't just go around calling people coke heads.
Some people do a reasonable amount while they're out, go home and pass out. Others turn into Hunter S Thompson and stay up until 7-8 8n the morning multiple days a week. Apparently Chucky is the latter. He's been battling addiction for three years now, even went to rehab last off season.
It gives me no pleasure to write this. I always liked the kid, and as someone who went through the same poop in my twenties I always hoped he would turn it around. Anyone who views this trade as a perennial 30 goal scorer being traded for a perennial 9 goal scorer is either naive or doesn't know the whole story.
FFW I still hate the trade and think Bergevin is an idiot.

Ultimately this trade just seems like a guy for a guy. Domi will feel better in a mucking system like Claude's and the perimeter player that Chucky is will have fun putting up numbers in a market where nobody's paying attention. Neither team is getting over the hump with this trade. |

After reviewing the contract situation, I think MTL actually got the better of this. Arizona is rebuilding and just gave up a huge piece to get two years of Galchenyuk. He’ll hit the open market before they’re competive again, and it will be a TOUGH sell to keep him in Arizona |

I like Domi but this is a good move for ARZ. Galchenyuk will get back to 30 goals in ARZ where Domi is still untested fully. Good move. |
